Those toes!!! This little guy couldn't WAIT to make his appearance coming at the soonest he could to 37 weeks and surprising everyone by weighing in at a grand 8lbs 3oz. His momma is an absolute rockstar and her birth and postpartum were so very perfect. Happy birthday Alistor!

After changing her mind two days ago, baby Laurel decided to make her grand entrance in the early hours of this morning! All 7lbs 4oz of her.

My oldest daughter was invited to the birth and able to witness her first birth. It couldn't have been more perfect with an absolutely amazing 4th time mama who was incredibly in tune with her body and the simply beautiful and peaceful water birth that followed.

Feeling so thankful and blessed!

Having caught three boys in the past few months, it was wonderful to help a first-time dad catch his newborn daughter, weighing 7lb 5oz, yesterday during the early afternoon. Such a peaceful little girl!

She had a true knot in her, thankfully long, umbilical cord to boot!

This mom was nothing short of amazing! First birth, amazing support from her husband and family, just over five hours of labor and a happy healthy 9lb 6oz baby boy who came out with his hand up under his chin in the birth pool! And ON his actually due date!

Such a beautiful birth to be present for and a beautiful family to come alongside ❤️

Happy birthday you big beautiful boy! You've certainly been blessed with an incredibly strong mother and an amazing dad and family!

This creative art work and these specific words had been carefully chosen by this woman and her family to prepare herself and her birth space for the new arrival. Very aptly chosen as the words "Surender" and "Yes you can" became such an intricate part of her birth story yesterday in such a beautiful way!

Yes she could do it and yes she did as she surrendered, let go of her fears and trusted her body!

Blessed to help welcome another baby boy (7lbs 11oz) yesterday, August 22nd, and to be part of such a beautiful and redeeming experience for his family!

This incredible smile, full of such joy, that says more than words possibly could!

This sleeping dad in the background, exhausted and taking a well earned rest after providing the unwavering strength and support his wife needed all through the night and into the morning.

At 41 weeks, after testing his momma's patience far beyond what she thought was possible, Joshua finally made his appearance this morning at 5:40am weighing in at a grand 9lbs 3oz!

This picture sums up so beautifully why I love and am so passionate about midwifery and home birth.

This birth made my soul sing! How I have missed being a midwife and experiencing the honor of and privilege of helping welcome a new life into the world within a family's home! Thankful and so very blessed!
