Kohen Kicks Cancer

Per our telemed appointment with Kohen's oncologist today, the residual nodule by her L2 vertebrae appears to still be stable but to be cautious, he wants to present her case at the tumor board meeting next week to gather other opinions due to very very slow measurement change that has occurred since her treatment has ended. He will update us in regards of that meeting towards the end of next week.

In other news, we are very happy to say that there is no other evidence of disease!!

For every whispered prayer there is a whole lot of gratitude! Thank y'all & thank you, Jesus!!!! ✨️🩷🎗

Just an update to say that we have received Kohen's CT result of her chest, abdomen, and pelvis but we are still awaiting the result of her MIBG (whole body scan). I'll update again with confirmation as soon as we have it and hopefully it's soon! 🫶

I also wanted to thank you all for lifting our sweet girl up in prayer, including us! You have no idea how much that means to us and helps get us through these stressful and dreadful scan days!

Kohen's anxiety was unfortunately through the roof today. The whole way there she was so nervous. From the moment we walked through the doors she cried until it was time for scans and she put up one heck of a fight being put to sleep. Nothing we said or done could calm her down. She cried. I cried. It was simply heartbreaking to see her panic and not being able to fix it. Once it was over her anesthesiologist highly suggested putting her on anxiety medication. So we will be discussing that with her oncologist Friday during her 3pm telemed appointment and also with her local NP for any future medical visits.

Kohen also despises taking any oral medication other than your typical allergy meds when needed so that's been a trial and error in the past with Ativan! Please pray that we are able to find something that eases her anxiety without making her feel angry and without the feeling of if she's going to fall asleep. 💕

🎀Kohen's rescheduled dates for her CT & MIBG scans will now be on Wednesday, February 25th, 2026.

🎀Labs and nuclear medicine injection will be Tuesday, February 24th. We'll also have a telemed appointment with her oncologist that following Friday at 3pm.

Wednesday | 11/5/25 | Kohen Reese lost her first tooth.

I'm not sure how this day got here so fast.

We tied a string to it and then to her Bo baby's collar...he turned around to take off running and it came right on out. Nothing but pure excitement.

It's a moment that I knew was coming... but one that no one or nothing can prepare your heart for.

Our brave baby girl is growing up 🩷🦷🧚‍♀️

Overall diagnosis- Stage L2 High Risk Neuroblastoma. Non MYCN and non ALK. Unfavorable histology. Refractory. VIP Hypersecrection +.

If you look at her now, you would never know her body was once so frail, tiny, and failing her. Her strength and resilience still amazes me.
Yet lately, we've been busy L I V I N'. So much, that I almost let this day slip my memory and I honestly pray one day, that it does.

She's doing wonderful and is officially one whole hand now! 5️⃣🥳🖐

Today, Rally Kids Ailani, Carolyn, and Brecklynn stood with other childhood cancer fighters and survivors at the White House as President Donald J. Trump signed an executive order doubling funding for the Childhood Cancer Data Initiative from $50M to $100M.

We’re proud to see Rally’s voice included and progress being made for better treatments and cures for kids fighting cancer.
