Our MLT students had an amazing time in Little Rock filled with great food, fun, and valuable connections. From enjoying delicious seafood to some friendly competition at Topgolf, this trip was the perfect mix of laboratory knowledge and team bonding. ๐Ÿฆโ›ณโฃ

We had an absolute blast reviewing Blood Bank concepts with a competitive game of UNOโ€”who knew studying antibodies and transfusion reactions could get so intense? ๐Ÿ˜„

Bonus: we finally got to enjoy our new classroom rug, and it definitely made the space feel even more welcoming and fun.

Session Description: Conventional QC Design focuses on the instrument -detecting an error condition with the lowest false rejection rate. This is an instrument-centric approach, in which the design does not consider patient volume. This session explores a Risk Managed QC design, which focuses on the patient and emphasizes how to manage the risk of harm from erroneous results.
