πŸ’œOctober is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month - a time to pause, remember and honor babies who are no longer with us and the families who carry their love every day.

Our latest Health Matters column shares how community partners, including St. Peter's Health, Helena OBGYN, the Early Childhood Collaborative and others, are coming together to ensure no family faces this kind of loss alone.

October's Harvest of the Month is apples! We kicked off our school-based programming this month and made Easy Applesauce with more than 80 pounds of local apples for more than 700 students in the Helena Public Schools, East Helena Public Schools, Head Start and Pete's Place.

Thank you to our partners from Carroll College Helena Public Schools and Helena Food Share for helping make this possible. We used five different varieties from Mountain Man Orchard in Townsend and kept the apple peels on for a boost of Vitamin C, Fiber and Potassium. The kids voted and loved it! Check out the recipe πŸ‘‡
