You’ve only got one body.
Why trust it to someone with less experience than your hairdresser?
You wouldn’t sit in a salon chair with someone who “just learned last weekend.”
You wouldn’t trust your color, your cut, or your scalp to someone without training, mentorship, and years behind the chair.
Yet when it comes to your spine, joints, muscle balance, and long-term mobility, people are often told “any Pilates is good Pilates.”
It’s not.
Pilates is not choreography on a reformer
It is not a workout trend.
It is a system of strength training, alignment, and controlled resistance that requires deep education, ongoing practice, and experienced eyes.
A qualified Pilates teacher should have:
• Extensive formal training—not a weekend certification
• Ongoing education and mentorship
• Years of hands-on teaching experience
• A personal practice (teachers should take lessons too). You wouldn't go top a dentist who doesn't floss!
• The ability to modify intelligently for injuries, aging bodies, and real life
