Southeast Utah Health Department has an opening in the Price Office for a full-time Opioid Prevention Specialist with benefits (up to 40 hours/week). Starting wage is $18-20/hour depending on experience and education. Primary duties include community harm-reduction outreach in Carbon & Emery counties, distributing supplies, educating on overdose prevention and safe use, providing Narcan (naloxone) training to community members and organizations, coordinating with local partners, and connecting individuals to treatment and support services, to include working some evenings and weekends. Must be available every Thursday, a non-smoker/non-tobacco user, have excellent communication skills, work well independently and with a team, and hold a valid Utah driver’s license with a good driving record. Relevant certifications (e.g., HIV/Hep C testing) obtained/maintained after hire.
