Today is National Call Your Doctor Day! This is a reminder that you don't have to be sick to visit your doctor. Preventative health care and well child visits are just as crucial. Wellness exams help catch issues before they become bigger health problems. Although finding time for regular checkups may be challenging, remember wellness visits are essential to maintaining good health.

It’s National Children’s Day! Let’s honor our children by taking time out from our busy lives and technology to give them our full attention. It’s a day to give up our smartphones to spend time connecting with our kids, enjoy face to face time, and really listen. Putting our phone away allows uninterrupted bonding time to play their favorite game, listen to their stories, or visit the local park or zoo together.
Today and as much as possible all other days, we should try to be available for our children and encourage non-tech activities. By making devices off limits at certain times like bedtime and designating tech free areas such as the dinner table we will spend more quality time with our children, teach life skills by example, and encourage healthy physical and mental development.
