Larrie Shaun Roberts, 48, passed away on January 8, 2026, in Hemingway, South Carolina. Born on May 27, 1977, in Florence, South Carolina, Shaun lived a life marked by dedication to his work and a deep appreciation for music and the people around him.

Shaun earned an Associate’s Degree and went on to build a career rooted in commitment and leadership. He served as the manager for Tire Choice in Georgetown, South Carolina, where his strong work ethic left a lasting impression on colleagues and customers alike.

He was known not only for his professional diligence but also for his love of music—a passion that brought joy to his life and those who knew him. Whether through shared moments with family or quiet times of reflection, music was a constant companion that enriched his days.

Shaun’s devotion extended beyond the workplace. He cherished time spent with family and friends, offering support and warmth to those close to him. He will be deeply missed by many.

He is lovingly remembered by his father, Larry Legette Roberts; mother, Patricia Ann Hicks Roberts; brother Scottie (Mistie) Roberts; nieces Jalen Roberts and Alexis (Durwin) Bass; nephews Gabriel Roberts and Conner Roberts; and great-nephew Brooks Moore and great-niece Brylee Kate Bass.

May Shaun’s memory bring comfort to all who knew him and serve as a reminder of the strength found in hard work, the joy of music, and the enduring bonds of family.

Larry Wayne Cameron, 75, loving husband of Ruby Reason Cameron, passed away on January 6, 2026, at his home in Florence, South Carolina.

A son of the late John Garris Cameron and Ruth Bullard Cameron Altman, Larry was born on May 12, 1950, in Georgetown, South Carolina. He lived a life marked by dedication to family, friendship, and community.

Larry began his professional journey after being recruited from college by the owner of Clanton Auto Auction. His strong work ethic and commitment led him to climb the corporate ladder over many years with the company. After his tenure at Clanton Auto Auction, he continued to share his expertise by working part-time with Charleston Auctioneers before retiring fully.

A man deeply rooted in faith and fellowship, Larry was a lifelong member of Nebo Baptist Church in Brittons Neck. In later years, as health challenges made travel more difficult for him and his wife, he attended Greenwood Baptist Church in Florence. His spiritual life remained an important cornerstone throughout his years.

Larry was known for his easy-going nature and love of good company. He cherished time spent with friends and neighbors and found joy in entertaining others. A talented cook and gracious host, he often brought people together around food and laughter. He had a special fondness for the lake—fishing and boating were among his favorite pastimes.

Family was central to Larry’s life. He was affectionately known as a “mama’s boy,” a term that reflected not only his deep love for his mother but also the warmth and loyalty he extended to all those close to him. He held dear the time spent with loved ones and took pride in being present for family gatherings.

Larry was also a proud Master Mason and a member of the Omar Shriners, organizations that reflected his values of service and brotherhood.

Along with his cherished wife, Larry is survived by his brother Louie (Hazel) Cameron; sisters Lynn (Billy) Scott and Lisa (Darrell) Moody; extended family members Geri Hatchell, Edward (Gail) Reason, and Gail Huggins; nieces Tracy (Nick) Lefebvre, Alyson (Bradley) Weston, Amy (Darmon) Weaver, Christy (Teddy) Salters, Missy (John) Farmer; nephews Eddie Cameron, Glen (Cindy) Pace, Kenneth (Angel) Huggins, Scott (Angie) Reason; as well as numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 9, 2026 at Nebo Baptist Church, 6411 SC 908, Brittons Neck, South Carolina, 29546. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, will take place in the Church cemetery immediately following the funeral.

Wanda Jean Bolyn Baggett, 67, beloved wife of Richard "Ricky" Baggett, passed away at McLeod Hospice House in Florence, South Carolina on January 5, 2026.

A daughter of the late Laris and Ila Jean Bolyn, Wanda was born on December 18, 1958, in Hemingway, South Carolina. Wanda lived a life marked by devotion to her faith, dedication to her work, and deep love for her family.

A proud graduate of Hemingway High School, Wanda went on to build a career in retail management. She served as a manager for both Scotchman convenience stores and Family Dollar. Her strong work ethic and love for the people she worked with left a lasting impression on colleagues and customers alike.

Wanda was a woman of devout faith and an active member of Rhems Pentecostal Holiness Church. Her commitment to the church community was unwavering—she took great joy in organizing the annual turkey shoot fundraiser and working in the church kitchen. Her service was not just a duty but a heartfelt expression of her beliefs and values.

Wanda is survived by her loving husband of 48 years along with her son, Christopher (Jenny) Baggett; grandchildren Rebecca (Alex) Strickland, Kayla Baggett, and Preston Baggett; brother Roy Bolyn; sister Annie Ruth Bolyn Cooper; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her daughter Laura Baggett and great-grandchildren Madeline Grace Glover, Gabriel Strickland, and Kinsley Strickland.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2026 in the Rhems Pentecostal Holiness Church Sanctuary. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 – 1:45 p.m. in the Rhems Pentecost Holiness Church Sanctuary located at 14229 Brown’s Ferry Road, Georgetown, South Carolina, 29440.

Robin Ferrell Thomas, 66, loving wife of Gary W. Thomas passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina on Sunday, January 4, 2026.

A daughter of the late Richard and Lucille Parker Ferrell, Robin was born on October 13, 1959, in Jacksonville, North Carolina. After graduation from Jacksonville High School she enrolled in college courses. Robin went on to build a career in the banking and insurance industries, where she dedicated many years of service with professionalism and care.

Robin had a deep affection for animals and found great joy in the companionship of her pets throughout her life. Her love for them was a defining part of who she was and brought her comfort and happiness. Robin was a member of Johnsonville First Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband of twelve years, Robin is survived by her sister, Bette (Tommy) Dixon of Pittsboro, North Carolina; her brother, Dana (Nita) Ferrell of Wilmington, North Carolina; and many nieces and nephews.

Robin is predeceased by her parents.

Kay Elaine (Kathy) Rogers Russ, 69, passed away peacefully to Heaven on January 3, 2026 at MUSC Mullins Nursing Center.

Kathy was born and raised in Hemingway, SC, daughter of Mary Frances and Linwood Rogers, who preceded her in death.

Kathy was a graduate of Hemingway High School and attended the Will Lou Gray Opportunity School. She worked at Tupperware in Hemingway for a number of years until her health deteriorated. Kathy was a joy to be around, had a great love for her family, and appreciated everyone who was a part of her life. Her family would like to extend special thanks to the Chesterfield County Department of Disabilities and Special Needs for their love and care of Kathy for a number of years. Kathy developed friends who were like family while in their care. Also, special thanks go to the staff of MUSC Mullins Nursing Home for their loving care of Kathy for the past 8 years.

Surviving are a son, Justin Russ, of Hemingway; sister Mary Lynn Pool (Steve) of Marion; sister Jean Haselden (Bill) of Murrells Inlet; 3 nephews, 1 niece and a number of great nieces and nephews, as well as many cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, January 6, 2026 in the Indiantown Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Roger Lee Ginn, 43, of Conway, South Carolina, passed away on December 30, 2025, in Conway. Born on August 9, 1982, in Georgetown, South Carolina, Roger brought light and laughter to those around him throughout his life. Roger enjoyed cooking for his family and events.

Roger was a dedicated worker who spent his career in maintenance with Kindle Morgan and also contributed his time and talents at Squire Farms. His strong work ethic and reliability were evident to all who worked alongside him.

He was known for his outgoing personality and infectious sense of humor. A natural jokester, Roger had a gift for making others laugh and lifting spirits wherever he went. His warmth and energy left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Roger deeply loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kelly Mckemy Ginn; his son, Callen Michael Lee Ginn; his mother, Judy Cribb Wall; his brother, Joey Ginn; and his sister, Holly Poston (Randall). He also held a special place in his heart for his niece Beatrice “Bug” Sellers. Roger’s extended family includes many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and dear friends—especially Stacy Martinez and her father Mr. Leo—who will remember him fondly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Wall; and his grandparents, Albert and Beatrice Cribb.

During his school years, Roger participated in the Junior ROTC program—a reflection of his early commitment to discipline and service.

Roger’s memory will live on through the laughter he inspired and the love he gave so freely. May those who knew him find comfort in remembering the joy he brought into their lives.

Luther Cornelius “Neal” Ward II, 68, passed away on December 29, 2025, in Johnsonville, South Carolina.

A son of the late Luther Cornelius and Carolyn Prater Ward, Neal, as he was referred to by all who knew him, was born on October 17, 1957, in Hemingway, South Carolina. He lived a life marked by dedication to his work, deep love for his family, and a passion for the outdoors and sports.

A proud graduate of Johnsonville High School, Neal was a member of the JHS Flashes baseball team during the early 1970s. His love for the game continued throughout his life as he remained an avid supporter of USC Gamecock baseball, holding season tickets and rarely missing a game. After high school, he attended Francis Marion College before embarking on a career as an electrical engineer. In his later years, he brought his expertise and strong work ethic to Silverleaf Construction, where he found great satisfaction in the hours he spent on the job.

Neal was known for being a hard-working man who loved his family deeply. He found joy in simple pleasures—golfing with friends, hunting in the woods of South Carolina, casting a line while fishing—and most especially in time spent with the family that he so dearly cherished.

Neal is survived by sons: Luke Ward, Jacob (Rebekah) Ward, and Daniel (Charee Shubert) Ward; granddaughters, Lily Ward and Ripley Ward; sister, Gail Ward-Besser; nieces: Tara Thigpen, Rachel Hanna, and Victoria Crawford; nephew, Matthew Besser; as well as many great-nieces and nephews; and his father- and mother-in-law, Donnie and Angie Coker.

In addition to his parents, Neal was preceded in death by his sister Melanie Jeanniene Ward; ex-wife Donna Coker Ward, the mother of his sons; and brother-in-law, Jeffrey Besser.

Betty Lou Johnson Richardson, 83, widow of Olin Douglas Richardson passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at McLeod Hospice House in Florence, South Carolina.

A daughter of the late James Norton and Ruby Estelle Richardson Johnson, Betty was born on February 27, 1942, in Hemingway, South Carolina. Betty’s life was rooted in family, faith, and joy.

A proud graduate of Hemingway High School, Betty Lou furthered her education at Williamsburg Technical College in Kingstree, South Carolina. Throughout her life, she remained deeply connected to the community in which she was born. Betty Lou was a devoted member of Christian Life Ministries. Her devotion to her church family and community included serving as youth leader and Sunday School teacher for many years. She and Olin, a Deacon in the church, served together faithfully. Her commitment to the Lord was unwavering.

Betty Lou was known for her fun-loving spirit and the infectious laughter which she brought into every room. She never met a stranger and loved every child who came across her path as her own. In return, “Grandma” was deeply loved by every child in her life. Whether casting a line on a quiet fishing trip, tending to her garden with care, or preparing meals that brought loved ones together around the table, she found joy in life's simple pleasures. Her greatest happiness came from spending time with her large family—moments filled with warmth, stories, and laughter that will be cherished forever.

Betty Lou is survived by daughters Janice (Randy) Cox and Kathy Jones; grandchildren: Charles (Erin) Nealey, Ashley (Lisa) Jones, Jessica Ulery (Mike Poston), Michael (Lindsay) Richardson II, Tonya Baggett Wheeler, William Anthony (Abigail) Richardson, Betsy Riley, Bradley Cox, and Tony Whitney; seventeen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sisters: Myrtle Johnson Coker, Ruby Jane Richardson, Patricia Harrellson, Elaine Johnson (Don) Everett, and Margaret (Rev. Jimmy) Marsh; brother Ronnie Johnson; and daughter-in-law Tonya Richardson.

In addition to her husband and parents, Betty Lou was preceded in death by sons Michael Richardson and William Anthony "Tony" Richardson; grandson Randall Cox; sisters Shirley Richardson, Genevive Roberts; brother Norton Johnson, Jr; and son-in-law Wayne Jones.

Albert Thomas “Toolbox” Foxworth, 74, husband of Deborah “Debbie” Matthews Foxworth passed away peacefully on Friday, December 12, 2025 at his home in Hemingway, South Carolina.

A son of the late Thomas Marion and Ethel Woodberry Foxworth, Toolbox, as he was affectionately known to friends and family, was born on March 25, 1951, in Hemingway, South Carolina. He spent his life rooted in the community where he was born.

Toolbox was a man who found joy in simple pleasures and hands-on pursuits. Whether casting a line into the water or tuning up a lawn mower, he had a knack for working with his hands and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. Racing also held a special place in his heart, and he enjoyed the thrill and camaraderie it brought. Above all, Toolbox loved his family and cherished every moment spent with them.

In addition to his wife, Toolbox is survived by a son, Charles Thomas (Jami) Foxworth; a daughter Mary Elizabeth (Drew) Evans; grandchildren: Christopher Thomas Foxworth, Matthew James Foxworth, and Orion Andrew Evans; sisters Marie (John) Cantey and Sandra (Mike) Rogers; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Staff Sergeant James Edward Eaddy, 91, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025, in Columbia, South Carolina. A proud veteran and devoted family man, he leaves behind a legacy of service, kindness, and unwavering love for those around him.

A son of the late Bennie J and Corrine Hughes Eaddy, James was born on July 17, 1934, in Johnsonville, South Carolina. He graduated from Johnsonville High School before embarking on a distinguished military career that spanned over two decades.

James served honorably in the United States Army from 1952 until his retirement in 1976. After completing basic training at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, James began his service career in Qui Nhon, Vietnam. During his twenty-four years of service, James’ work ethic enabled him to rise to the rank of Staff Sergeant. He completed two tours in Vietnam and was also stationed in Germany and Hawaii. James’ dedication and bravery were recognized through numerous commendations, including the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm, and the Good Conduct Medal. His commitment to duty and country was unwavering and deeply respected by all who served alongside him.

Beyond his military accomplishments, James was known for his warm heart and generous spirit. He never met a stranger and had an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel welcome. A member of Freedom and Liberty Worship Center, he fostered relationships with others through his unwavering faith. An avid reader with a curious mind, James enjoyed reading a good book as much as he did gatherings with loved ones. Above all, he cherished every moment spent with family.

James is survived by his daughter Glenda (Jeff Skinner) Eaddy; son Benjamin Eaddy; grandchildren Mallory (Stuart) Flynn, Basil Owens III, Ashley (Immie) Powell, and Shayne (Heather) Powell; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Alice Rhames Eaddy, and his parents James was preceded in death by son Bailey “Duck” Powell; brother Bedford Eaddy; and sister Lula Beck Coker.

Funeral services for James will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 14, 2025 in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel located at 416 N Main Street, Hemingway, South Carolina. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Morris Funeral Home Chapel.
