Applications for the Fall 2026 cohort are open!! The link to apply is in the comments below!
EXCITING NEWS--We have moved our application process to a Rolling Admissions cycle--Here are the details:
-FHU's PTA Program has specific admission requirements set apart from Freed-Hardeman University's general admission requirements due to a maximum cohort size of 18 students being accepted each fall semester. Applicants must obtain admission to the institution in addition to the PTA program.
-The first 18 students who have completed all admissions requirements will be accepted into the upcoming cohort. Applications will continue to be accepted until the cohort is full or the first day of the fall semester. If more than 18 applications are received in an application cycle, those individuals will be placed on a waitlist to begin the subsequent cohort. If an individual chooses to forfeit their seat in the cohort, the first student on the waiting list will be offered the available seat; this process will continue until all seats in the cohort are full.
To be considered for admission to the PTA program, the following requirements must be met:
-Be accepted for admission to Freed-Hardeman University
-Complete the FHU PTA Application Form
-Have satisfactorily completed all required academic liberal arts courses and prerequisites with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 and a grade of "C" or higher.
-Prerequisite courses include Human Anatomy and Physiology 1 and 2, College Algebra or Introductory Statistics, General Psychology, Medical Terminology OR approved course substitution for Medical Terminology.
-Must have completed 12 of the 16 hours at time of application (4 of the 12 hours must include Human Anatomy and Physiology I)
-Submit a minimum of 2 letters of recommendation
-Have attended a meeting with PTA program faculty and/or informational session within 1 year of application
