In Loving Memory of Rev. Jackson

Today, we pause to honor a remarkable soul, Rev. Jackson, whose life and ministry touched so many and whose lasting impact will be felt for generations to come. As we reflect on his steadfast dedication, we are reminded of the power of faith, courage, and service.

I am grateful for the small, transformative opportunity as a child to hear Rev. Jackson speak at Shiloh Baptist Church in Henderson, North Carolina. His words were more than sermons; they were a beacon that lit a path toward dignity, resilience, and a richer understanding of our shared history. From those moments, I carried his message into my life, and it continues to shape who I am today.

Rev. Jackson stood at the crossroads of faith and history, a true trailblazer in African American history. His tireless work, leadership, and unwavering commitment to justice and compassion helped pave the way for countless others to pursue their own callings with courage and persistence. He reminded us that our stories—our struggles, triumphs, and dreams—are essential threads in the tapestry of this nation.
