Nurse Day Thursday Spotlight! Meet Sara Urtz, Clinical Supervisor in our ICU. Originally from Charleston, SC, Sara has worn many hats, from wilderness instructor in Utah to working with the National Park Service. After earning her BSN at Texas Tech, she spent three years in Trauma & Surgery and the Burn ICU.

Since moving to Las Vegas in 2020, Sara has been an incredible part of the Henderson Hospital ICU team. She says she loves her job and we love having her!

Andrew Lee on 3E, Nurse Day Thursday!

Before entering nursing, Andrew worked as a marketing manager, partnering with local Las Vegas and Henderson companies. That background shows up every day in the way he communicates, connects, and builds trust—with his team and especially with his patients.

Andrew is known as a true team player, always willing to step in, support his colleagues, and collaborate to provide the best possible care. Even more importantly, he is a strong advocate for his patients, taking the time to listen, speak up, and be their voice when they need it most.

What really sets Andrew apart is his perspective. As he puts it, “Every day is a blessing.” That mindset shines through in his compassion, positivity, and dedication to caring for others—no matter how busy or challenging the shift.

Henderson Hospital and the ER at Green Valley Ranch both held successful blood drives earlier this month and the response from the community was incredible. Because of our donors, dozens of life-saving units were collected, each one making a real difference for patients in need. Thank you to everyone who donated!

Celebrating one of our incredible ER nurses, Samantha Schuster!

With nearly 15 years of dedicated service to VHS, this amazing nurse continues to make a lasting impact every single day. Since joining the ER at GVR in May 2021, she has been a valued preceptor, a trusted teammate and a steady source of knowledge, support and compassion for both patients and staff.

Sam’s commitment to excellence, willingness to mentor others, and true team spirit help make our department stronger and our care better. We are grateful for the experience, leadership, and heart she brings to the ER at Green Valley Ranch every shift.
