Behind every successful athlete is a dedicated Athletic Trainer! ๐ช
Most people think they know what Athletic Trainers do.
Tape ankles.
Hand out water.
Personal training.
Stand on the sidelines and then run onto the field when someone gets hurt.
But thatโs just the tip of the iceberg. ๐ง
Athletic Trainers are healthcare professionals whose top priority is the health, safety, and well-being of the athletes and individuals they serve. While many see them on the sidelines during games, much of their work happens behind the scenes in the Athletic Training Room:
โข Injury prevention
โข Injury evaluation
โข Rehabilitation and return-to-play planning with coaches
โข Emergency response and care
โข Collaboration with physicians and healthcare teams
STAR Physical Therapy is proud to provide Athletic Training coverage to more than 30 high schools and colleges across Tennessee and Arkansas. Our Athletic Trainers work hard on the sidelines, in training rooms, and throughout their communities to support student-athletes every day.
March is National Athletic Training Month, and weโre proud to celebrate our incredible Athletic Training team and the impact they make in the communities we serve.
