We’re so excited to welcome Eliza Paul, LCMHCA (she/they) to our Asheville office!
Eliza is an attachment-focused therapist who works with adults (18+) to explore how early relationships and experiences shape the way we move through the world. She brings a warm, gentle, and deeply compassionate presence to her work, helping clients untangle the impact of childhood trauma and build new, more secure ways of connecting with others.
Eliza is EMDR-trained and IFS-informed, drawing from psychodynamic and trauma-focused approaches to support healing and growth. She’s especially passionate about helping clients navigate generational trauma, identity, and self-connection with authenticity and care.

Have you checked out this weekends Pride on Main Schedule? Friday we stop by the Waterin Hole for a casual check in. We end Saturday night with a drag show at the Folkmoot and then we are off to the Pigeon Center Sunday morning with an afternoon swim at the Meadowlark! Showing up for the LGBTQIA+ people in your life doesn’t mean having all the answers—it means choosing compassion, curiosity, and care.

Here are a few simple, powerful ways to validate your loved ones’ identities. Whether it’s a new name, a shift in pronouns, or a story they’re just beginning to tell—you have the power to make them feel seen, safe, and celebrated.

✨ If your child tells you their pronouns have changed—honor them.
✨ If your friend shares a new label, a new name, or a deeper truth—celebrate them.
✨ If someone you love is exploring their identity—stay curious, not critical.
✨ If a loved one comes out to you—thank them for trusting you.
✨ If someone corrects how you refer to them—adjust with grace, not guilt.
✨ If a young person shares their gender or sexuality—believe them.
✨ If someone asks you to use inclusive language—make the effort.
✨ If a loved one doesn’t have all the answers yet—give them time and space.
✨ If someone shares painful experiences of exclusion or discrimination—listen without defensiveness.
✨ If your instincts say “this is unfamiliar”—lead with love, not fear.
