What a night! Last night in Asheville, the 2025 North Carolina Awards took place for the first time held outside of Raleigh.

Thanks to our family at AdventHealth for serving as Signature Sponsor for this special evening. Because when we stand together in community, we make meaningful impact.

Among the many honored, we’re especially excited to celebrate our very own DeLaina Lewkowicz - a valued member of the AdventHealth team. Governor Josh Stein recognized DeLaina and her husband David Lewkowicz and Bridge Church where he is pastor as "Helene Heroes." In the wake of Hurricane Helene, they stepped up in a big way: partnering with Mercy Chefs to serve thousands of hot meals to families whose homes were destroyed.

We celebrate DeLaina and David and all the recipients of the 2025 North Carolina Awards honored for resilience, creativity, service and scientific discovery across our state.

Opening New Doors for Those Who Served

We’re honored to partner with Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry (ABCCM) to dedicate the NCServes kiosk at AdventHealth Hendersonville’s Emergency Department.

This first-of-its-kind access point connects Veterans, Service Members and their families to life-changing resources—right where they already seek care. From housing and employment to mental health and VA benefits, this kiosk makes support more accessible and equitable for our military-connected community.

Celebrating 16 Years of Hope and Healing!

For 16 years, the Kenmure Fights Cancer community has partnered with AdventHealth Hendersonville to bring whole-person care to neighbors facing cancer in Western North Carolina. This year, their generosity reached new heights - raising a record $79,018.18 to support advanced cardiac care for cancer patients.

We are so thankful for their support that will help fund the new Cardiac Cath Lab at our hospital in Hendersonville.

🥣✨ Yesterday morning, our AdventHealth Care Crew partnered with two incredible community organizations—Field and Kitchen and Caja Solidaria—to prepare and share nourishing soups with our neighbors.

Field and Kitchen is a farmer-focused, shared-use kitchen in Hendersonville that empowers local growers and food entrepreneurs with the space, tools, and support to transform fresh ingredients into community resilience.

Caja Solidaria is a nonprofit rooted in mutual aid, providing healthy food prescriptions and affordable produce to families across Henderson and Transylvania Counties—while championing local farms and food justice.

Together, we stirred up more than soup—we stirred up connection, compassion, and whole-person care. 💙
