Announcing the winners of the Christmas door decorating contest in Red Cedar Glen’s assisted living are- 1st place goes to Gail Dickson for her candyland door. 2nd place is Karen Renfro for her Christmas flight door. And third place is James Vance for his Polar Express door. Thank you to all who made our assisted living so merry!

Drumroll please!!!!! Announcing the winners of the Christmas door decorating contest at Red Cedar Glen! For independent living- 1st place is Patty Belt with her gingerbread door. 2nd place to Dean Smith with an old fashioned Christmas. And 3rd place to Danny Kizer for his Grinch door!! Second Hand Christmas is another favorite activity during Christmas at Red Cedar Glen! Residents wrap a Christmas item they no longer want, and bring it to the game! Then the gifts are numbered and residents draw the corresponding numbers! It is always fun to see who gets what from each other. It is a great time of laughter, smiles, and Christmas cheer!

In all of our annual Christmas activities at Red Cedar Glen, today was one of the favorites! Behold the Saran wrapped ball filled with gifts and treats! This ball is passed person to person who are wearing oven mitts while they try to unwrap the ball to get to the surprises! The person to the left is rolling a large pair of dice and when they get doubles of any number, they pass the dice to the next person and then they get a chance to unwrap the ball! This game brings out the laughs in everyone!! It is great fun!

Another great day at Red Cedar Glen! 8th graders from Hawkins Middle School came to Carol for our residents! And not only did they sing, but came bearing boxes filled with sweet surprises! Thank you, 8th graders, for entertaining us. Our residents loved it!

Thank you to all who joined us for our Silent Wreath Auction tonight! The food was wonderful
and the music was superb! We are so excited to see the bids on the wreaths so far! They will remain up for the weekend! Winners will be notified! If you didn’t get by, come by this weekend and place a bid. The funds go to Feed Sumner! Let’s help put food on tables this Christmas!

This afternoon Red Cedar Glen’s dining room was full of residents and not because it was meal time! They were treated to a performance by the Tennessee Jewels!
This is an amazing group of professional ladies who have combined their talents to create delightful shows for audiences such as Red Cedar Glen. They performed all the favorite Christmas carols! Residents joined in while the Jewels sang and danced! This was truly a wonderful show! Thank you Tennessee Jewels for bringing the Christmas spirit to us today!
