It was a wild and crazy day and we did not get pictures but we want to thank Westhampton United Methodist Church, Richmond, VA Tuckahoe Family YMCA All Saints RVA and St. Matts RVA for their drop offs today. Thank you to anybody else we may have missed. Just a reminder today was our last day for the year. Our next distribution and next day for volunteers to be back in the building is Monday January 5, 2026

With the wild night we had tonight I completely forgot to post our current needs. Our greatest needs for our next distribution on January 5 are:

Tonight the Food Pantry set a new record, 120 families representing 487 individuals served. We ran out of produce, cleared our freezers of meat and had to send volunteers in to make additional adult and kid bags. A huge thank you to the volunteers that were there tonight.

Just a reminder, this was our last service of the year. We will be open again for distribution on Monday, January 5. Wednesday is our last day of the year for partner churches to drop off donations.

I just want to take this opportunity to thank all of our wonderful volunteers on Monday nights, our Monday morning bag packers, our Wednesday crew that does our shelf stocking a d or fabulous partner church. You all are the reason the Food Pantry can continue to feed those in need in our

Just in case you aren’t aware that we participate in Kroger rewards here’s the information on how to link your Kroger rewards card so the Pantry can be the beneficiary:

To Use the Kroger Community Rewards Program:
Simply encourage your participants to visit http://www.kroger.com. Once logged into their Kroger account they can search for Welborne Community Food Pantry either by name or QW027 and then click Enroll. New users will need to create an account which requires some basic information, a valid email address and a rewards card.

Thank you to everyone that dropped off today, Shady Grove UMC - Short Pump VA, All Saints RVA, Westhampton United Methodist Church, Richmond, VA, Derbyshire Baptist Church, and all the individuals that dropped off food today. We are fairly well stocked for Monday.

At this time, our greatest needs are deodorant and shampoo.

Unfortunately, due to the forecasted weather and school and county government office closures we have made the decision that the church office and the food pantry WILL BE CLOSED TOMORROW. The safety of our volunteers and guests is our first priority. No one will be available for drop offs.

Feeding Friends in Tuckahoe

The Welborne Community Food Pantry wants to feed our neighbors not only with relationships but with good, healthy food! We recognize that there is food scarcity in our neighborhood among all races and classes, and for a variety of reasons. Sometimes families are confronted with job loss, or high medical bills. Other times, immigrant families have fled oppression in their home countries and need a new start. We are here to offer relationship and food.
