Introducing the Speech Connections Playgroup led by Mrs. Gina! 💛

The first playgroup will be offered every Wednesday 9:30-10:15am from April 15th through May 20th at our office.

Each week, you’ll learn and practice a new language-boosting strategy during themed play activities that your littles will LOVE! You’ll leave feeling empowered to implement those same strategies at home to build your child’s communication skills. 🫶 An added bonus is having the opportunity to connect with other parents and caregivers.

The playgroup is open to our community, not limited to current Speech Connections clients.

Does your child love Pokémon?! Are you looking for an enriching summer program for them?!

Pokémon Connections is an awesome opportunity to work with an SLP and peers to strengthen expressive oral language, social language, decoding/reading, executive functioning, and articulation skills all while learning how to build a deck and learn the Pokémon trading card game! ⚡️

A big thank you to for so generously donating starter decks and trading cards to help your child start building their own deck or add to their current collection.

Several small groups offered various weeks this summer. Will be grouped by age. Your child doesn’t need to be in speech therapy to participate. Reach out if you are interested!

Ms. Gina joined the Speech Connections team this month and we couldn’t be happier to have her! She brings so much compassion and expertise to our team and the clients that she serves 🧡💙

A little more about Gina:
✨She is from Pittsburgh, PA and went to Clarion University of Pennsylvania for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in speech-language pathology.
✨Gina was inspired to become a speech-language pathologist when she saw the positive impact that speech therapy had on her autistic cousin’s growth and development. She knew from an early age that she wanted to have that same impact on other families.
✨She especially loves working with AAC users and providing them with access to communication. Her other favorite areas to support are early language, articulation, and childhood apraxia of speech.
✨In her free time, she loves traveling, going on hikes, taking yoga classes, listening to music, and sewing.
