This simple holiday posture tip is a total lifesaver for your back!

If you usually wrap gifts hunched over on the floor for hours, do your body a favor and try these easy tweaks this year:

Move your wrapping station up to a table or counter so you can stay more upright, and if you’re hiding in your bedroom to keep gifts secret, stand next to the bed instead of sitting on it.

Build in mini movement breaks. After every couple of gifts, walk them over to the tree instead of carrying a giant stack at the end; those short walks help you change positions more often so you’re not stuck bent forward and setting yourself up for back pain.

If wrapping starts to feel stressful, pause. Take a few deep breaths, or turn it into a mini mindfulness moment by focusing on the symmetry of the paper, the folds, and the corners—who knows, you might even nail that perfectly wrapped present while your nervous system gets a reset.
