On this Christmas Eve, we are filled with gratitude for our incredible patients, our families, and the community that has supported us so faithfully. We celebrate the birth of our Savior and the hope, peace, and love this season represents.

To allow our team time to be with their loved ones, Legacy Eyecare will be closing at 1:00 PM today and will reopen on Monday.

As Christmas approaches, we want to make sure our amazing team has time to relax and enjoy the season with their families.

Did you know we are an official drop off location for used glasses that Little Rock South Lions Club collect?
If you have old glasses you’re no longer using send them our way so they can be put to use again!

The Little Rock South Lions Club is excited to share that three more boxes full of used glasses and cases were delivered yesterday to World Services for the Blind!

These donations help provide vision assistance and resources to individuals around the world who need them most. Something as simple as a pair of glasses can truly change a life.

If you have old or unused glasses at home, we’d love your help! 👓

Legacy Eyecare will be closing early at 1:00 PM today, Wednesday, December 17th, as we celebrate our amazing staff and treat them to a Christmas outing.

Here’s a peek at the view from our exam chair—and everything we’re carefully evaluating while you’re there.

🔍 Structures examined with the slit lamp include:
• Eyelids & lashes
• Tear film
• Conjunctiva
• Cornea
• Anterior chamber (fluid behind the cornea)
• Iris
• Pupil
• Lens (checking for cataracts)
• Vitreous
• Retina & macula
• Optic nerve head

This detailed exam allows us to detect dry eye, infections, inflammation, cataracts, glaucoma concerns, retinal issues, and so much more—often before you notice symptoms.

Dr. Lunsford and her husband had a wonderful time attending the Little Rock South Lions Club Christmas Party last night! 🎄💛💙

It was an evening filled with fellowship, laughter, great food, and celebrating all the ways our Lions serve the community throughout the year. As Membership Chair, Dr. Lunsford is especially grateful for the heart this group pours into local families, vision projects, and service programs.

Legacy Eyecare is proud to support and be part of such a dedicated organization—and we’re looking forward to all the good the Lions will continue to do in 2026! 🦁✨

✨ Some dreams start early… and never let go. ✨

Long before “Dr. Lunsford” was printed on a white coat, teenage Sarah already knew exactly where she was headed. While her friends were still deciding what they wanted to be, she was shadowing eye doctors, studying everything she could about vision, and proudly telling anyone who asked that she was going to be an optometrist one day.

Optometry wasn’t a phase or a maybe — it was the plan.
And she stuck to it.

Today, Legacy Eyecare is the result of that lifelong dedication, many many years of schooling, and a teenager’s unwavering belief that helping people see more clearly was the path she was meant to follow.

We had an absolute blast seeing everyone at Hope Valley’s Christmas Extravaganza for our Santa’s Spectacular Specs event!

Thank you to all the families who stopped by to decorate glasses, take festive photos, and share in the Christmas cheer. Your creativity, laughter, and holiday spirit made the night unforgettable! 🎅👓💙
