Wo-Men In Touch Health and Wellness We are dedicated health care providers with the focus of the family in mind. We embrace the diversity of families and their heritage. I was shocked!

I got started in healthcare over 30 years ago as a Nurse, but my personal wellness journey started 10 years ago. I was overweight and diagnosed as a pre-diabetic and pre-hypertensive. I never considered myself as unhealthy even with the diagnoses of these life-altering illnesses, until I saw a picture of myself at an African American Gala. I never seen myself overweight until that picture. That was my wake-up call. I had two young men to raise and wanted a quality of life while doing it. So, I enrolled in Ashford University and obtain a Nutrition Certification, became a group exercise instructor, and continued my education. I can proudly say I am a Certified Intergrative Health Coach. This journey was not easy in the beginning but as I changed my behavior and motivated myself, it became a part of who I am. I have a passion about caring for the whole person that includes mind, body and soul. Now I eat to live versus living to eat. Many healthy blessing!

When Allyson Felix became pregnant, Nike was prepared to cut the terms of Felix's endorsement by as much as 70% due to the pregnancy and told her to “know your place and just run.”

Amid all of this, she was forced to have an emergency c-section seven months into her pregnancy because of a potentially life-threatening condition and her baby had to live for more than a month in the NICU. But two years later she’s qualified for her fifth Olympics with her daughter watching.

Felix dropped Nike and created her own brand of running shoes, the Saysh One. She is currently running in the Olympics in Japan wearing them under the banner “I Know My Place”.

With 11 medals now, she passed Carl Lewis this summer for the most track and field medals by an American in history!
