Late post from this morning. Crushed my 2.2 miles continuous run! Also decided to step on the scale. -.2lbs from where I was before vacation. Eating the right foods, hydration and sleep made all the differences. NO EXCUSES!! Get at it!!

The run on the first day back from vacation, thought it was gonna kill me. I continued to run and lift while on vacation but I failed to prioritize 3 major things.

1. Diet- can’t work the body and ask it to perform to new levels then feed it trash.

2. Hydration- staying hydrated affects everything. From how your body performs to how it rests and recovers it needs water. Not water mixed with hops.

3. Sleep- this may be the most important. When your sleep is off everything is off. Recovery, energy, appetite, mental power.

And I’m surely paying the price for taking my body to a brutal amusement park over the last week. Tomorrow is a new day, back at it, and making sure to protect my diet, hydration and sleep. NO EXCUSES!! Get at it!!

Today’s run was 1.6 miles continuous. Well I can tell you my sleep is off, hydration is off and diet is off. This run was hard hard, but I wouldn’t give in to my legs discomfort. Discomfort vs Pain, there’s a difference. Embrace the suck and enjoy the discomfort, that’s growth! NO EXCUSES!! Get at it!!

5 weeks ago I decided I wanted to be able to run a mile without stopping before I turned 40. Today through some weird way was my first continuous run of 1.2 miles. I crushed it, got through the run and still had some left in the tank. 5 weeks ago I’m not sure I could have ran .25 miles continuously. This is what happens when you stay consistent and train. 5 weeks, imagine where I’d be if I started 5 months ago, or 5 years ago. Get out there and get at it, the biggest obstacle is your own head. NO EXCUSES!! Get at it!!
