Brynnās Breakfastā¦she loves it!! Making sure Iām starting her day with proteins and some micronutrients.
The recipe comes across a little intimidating because thereās three steps. Was not difficult at all.
We didnāt have walnuts on hand so I substituted an almond, hazelnut, pecan blend. We also didnāt have an 8x8 pan so I used a Pyrex almost 8x6.5. Could have possibly spread it out on small baking sheet.
Canāt wait to experiment with other fruits like cherriesš
How do I find recipes like this?
I start with ingredients I have on hand. I had a bag of delicious dried apricots from Costco.. So I searched dried apricot, almond flour, bars, paleo recipes. Paleo searches typically lead me to whole food style recipes. This recipe was also vegan. We are not vegan, so I substituted half real butter with half the coconut oil for flavor. You could also substitute honey for the real maple syrup.
