Community care doesn’t only happen in the therapy room or on our walks. It also looks like using our voices, standing together, and advocating for the world we want to live in.

Hi. I’m alive. 🤍

I’ve been taking a little break from my therapist page while navigating school, finishing my dissertation, pre-doc internship, learning a whole new world of psychological testing, and trying to be more present in my actual life.

Slowing down. Restoring my energy. Letting myself be human.

I’ve also been spending a lot of time at the regulation station, prioritizing emotional regulation as I try to show up as a therapist during a really heavy moment in the world.

Because the world feels like it’s on fire. The news heavier than ever, human rights under attack, and systems like ICE continuing to cause real harm to real people. It’s hard to stay grounded in a political climate like this.

Grateful to be here. Grateful for the pause.

Holding hope that you’re finding moments of regulation and care too 🤍

More soon, at a pace that feels sustainable.

* You are welcome to bring your dog, child, partner, friend, etc.
* Come early as it is public parking.
* There is a farmers market and free yoga class available afterwards if you’re interested.

Please join us in celebrating the 3-year anniversary of the Long Beach monthly walk for therapists.

There will coffee, sweet treats, and community. 🌞

The walk is an inclusive, safe space to get to know people in your community. 🌈

- Wear something comfortable as we do walk for about an hour (~2.5 miles).
- You are welcome to bring your dog, child, partner, friend, etc.
- Come early as it is public parking.
- There is a farmers market and free yoga class available afterwards if you’re interested.
