As the holiday season approaches, pls be careful with PINE NEEDLES! These are organic injuries can result in a higher chance of RECURRENT corneal erosion. Today we helped our patient who was in quite a bit of pain (7/10 scale) by applying a CAM 360 AmnioGraft, an amniotic membrane to his cornea to help him recover. These membranes are naturally anti-inflammatory, anti-scarring with regenerative properties to promote healing of the epithelium (top layer) of the cornea. Our patient noticed immediate relief and could keep his eyes open when he left our office! The best part, he smiled 🙂!! Success rate with this treatment is up to 95%. We always love using cutting edge treatments to best take care of our patients.
