Sometimes the best moments are the unexpected ones.

Our Wi******er clinic was treated to a special staff appreciation surprise, thoughtfully organized by Clinic Manager Sophia L., with a simple but meaningful message:
“Out of the blue, we want to celebrate you.”

At Autism FIRST, we believe that recognizing the dedication and heart our teams bring each day is just as important as the work itself. These moments of appreciation help create a supportive, connected environment where everyone feels valued.

We’re grateful for leaders like Sophia and for the incredible team in Wi******er who show up every day for the children and families we serve.

A Meaningful Day in Roanoke

On March 30th, Autism FIRST had the opportunity to present at the annual in-service training for Total Action for Progress (TAP), supporting their Head Start program.

Our Chief Clinical Officer, Jenny Argueta, led an in-depth discussion on early signs of autism, navigating behavioral challenges in the classroom, and what access to ABA services looks like for families.

What stood out most was the level of engagement.
Educators, counselors, and staff were not just listening. They were seeking meaningful ways to better support the children in their care.

This is where real impact happens.

When early childhood professionals are equipped with the right tools and knowledge, we are not just supporting children. We are helping shape long-term outcomes for families and communities.

We are grateful for the opportunity and look forward to continuing to support the Roanoke community.
