Our Herndon clinic was filled with smiles, laughter, and sweet moments as kiddos and staff shared treats, cards, and festive goodie bags to celebrate Valentine’s Day together.

These joyful moments create natural opportunities for practicing kindness, sharing, and social connection in a supportive environment. It’s always special to see friendships grow and confidence build through meaningful interactions.

At Autism FIRST, we believe connection matters and days like this remind us how powerful those small moments can be.

So grateful for our Herndon team and the families we serve.

Autism FIRST was proud to participate as an exhibitor at the 29th Annual CHKD School Healthcare Conference, hosted by Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters in Norfolk, Virginia. The event brought together school nurses, clinicians, administrators, and community agencies to strengthen how students’ health and developmental needs are supported across educational settings.

Throughout the day, our team connected with school clinicians and nurses, shared resources, discussed referral pathways, and highlighted how Autism FIRST supports students both in and beyond the classroom.

We’re grateful to collaborate alongside representatives from
• Barry Robinson Center
• Kempsville Behavioral Health
• Destined for a Brighter Futures Foundation

Together, we’re committed to strengthening care, collaboration, and outcomes for children and families in our community.

Choosing the right early intervention program can feel overwhelming, especially with so many options available. At Autism FIRST, we believe families deserve more than just services. They deserve a partner who truly sees their child.

Our FIRST Steps Day Program for children ages 2 to 6 is designed to support early learners during the years that matter most. Through play-based learning, connection, and individualized support, we help children build communication, confidence, and foundational skills that last far beyond the classroom.

What sets us apart is not just what we do, but how we do it.
We meet each child where they are.
We partner closely with families.
We focus on progress that feels meaningful, joyful, and sustainable.

If you are exploring early intervention in the Chantilly area and want a program that values your child as a whole person, we would love to connect.

Wrapping up December with gratitude and celebration at our Herndon Clinic.

This month was filled with special moments as we came together to celebrate our amazing team. From staff birthdays and a festive potluck to Secret Santa surprises, December gave us many opportunities to connect, laugh, and appreciate one another.

We were also deeply touched by a thoughtful surprise from our caregivers, who showed their appreciation by treating our staff to a breakfast for the entire clinic. Gestures like these remind us how meaningful the relationships we build truly are.

As we close out the month, we are grateful for our dedicated staff, supportive families, and the strong sense of community that makes Autism FIRST such a special place.

Thank you to everyone who helped make December so memorable.
