What happens when treatment ends but the journey continues?

In this episode of Life on Pause, a podcast funded by Four Diamonds, young adult survivors from Penn State Health Golisano Children's Hospital's first PhotoVoice project share how photography helped them tell the stories of survivorship that are often hard to put into words.

Through powerful images and honest conversation, they reflect on identity, healing and the strength found in community.

As we close out Child Life Month, we’re excited to spotlight Pam, one of the incredible Child Life Assistants at Penn State Health Golisano Children's Hospital.

Pam helps bring joy to Four Diamonds children in so many ways, from coordinating special events to managing generous donations that make a difference each day. Whether she’s stocking the prize cart or leading weekly bingo, her work creates moments of comfort, normalcy and smiles for the children and families we serve.

Thank you, Pam, for helping make the hospital feel a little more like home.

For Four Diamonds mom Shelley, her “Love for Lennon” bracelet is more than something she wears. It is a piece of her heart wrapped around her wrist. 💛

“When your child is fighting pediatric cancer, love becomes your oxygen. It steadies you, holds you up and helps you keep smiling even when your heart is breaking.”

Seeing these bracelets reminds everyone that Lennon is surrounded by love and support. She is never alone in her fight.

“Love for Lennon” are not just words. They are the heartbeat of their family and a promise to keep believing and loving.

Every new Four Diamonds family can order a set of 50 support wristbands. They can create a custom message for their child, sharing love and hope with everyone who wears it and carrying that support with them through every step of the journey.

Today on World Social Work Day, we’re celebrating three amazing members of our comprehensive support team: Aubrey, Kristin and Meredith! 💛

From diagnosis through treatment and into survivorship, our social workers walk alongside families every step of the way. They help navigate the challenges of childhood cancer, connect families with critical resources and provide the emotional support that ensures no family faces this journey alone.

Thank you, Aubrey, Kristin and Meredith, for the care, advocacy and compassion you bring to the Four Diamonds community every day.
