Today, Penn State THON visited Penn State Health Children's Hospital to deliver holiday gift baskets to our Four Diamonds children and their families. 🎁💙

Karen Powell, a Penn State alum and nurse practitioner, reflects on the three women who shaped her journey: her grandmothers, both diagnosed with breast cancer, and her own experience at age 39.

From childhood moments in living rooms and hospital rooms to her career in oncology nursing, Karen shares how compassion, courage and love are passed down through generations.

Four Diamonds child Jack helped celebrate Penn State Football seniors as the MI Windows and Doors Kickoff Kid for Penn State Football! 🎓

Jack was diagnosed at just 3 years old with leukemia. After undergoing over 2 years of chemotherapy and spinal taps, Jack completed his treatment in 2020. Now 10, Jack is back in school with his friends and loves all things sports!

Thank you, MI Windows and Doors by Miter Brands, for allowing Jack to finish off the Penn State Football home schedule as our Kickoff Kid!

Noah finished treatment for leukemia this spring and proudly rang the bell, a moment his parents had prayed for since the beginning. Today, he’s thriving in kindergarten, loving life as a big brother and enjoying every moment of being a kid again.

Devin is spreading comfort in the best way! 💙

Six years after conquering cancer, she wanted to give back to the community that supported her through her journey. With the help of her grandma, she created cozy, handmade blankets for patients at Penn State Health Children's Hospital.

The kids absolutely light up when they receive one of these special blankets, and Devin is proud to share a little warmth and encouragement with them.

This Thanksgiving, the Martin family is most thankful to see Westin healthy, smiling and back to being a kid again. 🧡

Just a year ago, 8-year-old Westin was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a cancer of the nervous system. Through every surgery, scan and round of treatment, his strength never wavered and neither did the support from Four Diamonds. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, families like Westin’s never have to face this journey alone.

“We’re grateful for every moment,” said his mom, Andee. “From watching him swim again to seeing him confident and joyful, we don’t take anything for granted.”
