Here are some tips we find useful for avoiding stress, and also on how to deal with stressful situations when you face them.

First, keep your mind and body in balance.

Take frequent short breaks in your routine
Drink water
Eat as healthy as possible

Struggling with intrusive thoughts is more common than you'd think. If you feel your OCD is taking control, here are some tips that could help you rationalize your thoughts to avoid repetitive behaviors and compulsions.

1. Always expect the unexpected. You can have an obsessive thought at any time or any place.

2. Be willing to get help and know it may not be an easy process.

3. Don’t waste time trying to avoid your thoughts.

4. Don’t get too impatient with your progress, or compare yourself to someone else.

5. If you suffer from constant unwanted intrusive thoughts, seek professional help. OCD can be treated.

Anxiety is an emotion we all experience every now and then. It's perfectly normal to feel some anxiety before making important decisions or when facing difficult situations. But like all emotions, it should be temporary. When this worry or fear becomes a part of your daily routine, and only seems to be getting worse, you might be dealing with a type of anxiety disorder.

These are 3 facts to keep in mind:

⭐ 1. These are a group of mental illnesses that cause constant and overwhelming anxiety and fear. These levels of anxiety can cause you to avoid work, school, family, and other social situations.

⭐ 2. Some of the most common symptoms displayed by someone afflicted with an anxiety disorder include feeling restless, irritability, having sleep problems, a constant feeling of panic and fear, shortness of breath, heart palpitations, fatigue, muscle tension, and inability to concentrate, among others.

⭐ 3. There are multiple and effective ways of treating anxiety disorders. Psychotherapy is often the most common approach. This is a type of counseling that helps you learn how your emotions affect your behaviors. You learn to understand and manage your thoughts and feelings.

Anxiety disorders are more common than you'd think. If you think you have symptoms, reach out for help. Proper treatment will help you control these feelings of panic and fear, and will allow you to lead a healthy, happy life.
