Estrechez Uretral: Tratamiento

How to treat male urinary inconsistence?

There are two consequences that you can have after you have your prostate removed for cancer:

👉 1. Erectile dysfunction
You can’t have s*x. And we like to treat those with a pe**le implant.
They’re the happiest patients in the world 💯

👉 2. Urinary incontinence
You cannot control your urine.
We do something called uro-medical balloons.
Basically, with a sort of injection, we insert these balloons underneath your urethra to give it support — and that helps you control the urine.

It’s like a minimally invasive sling.
🟡 It has a port we access in the office
🟡 We can progressively fill the balloons
🟡 We adjust until we can control your incontinence

⭐ This is the first and the best line of treatment for incontinence.
⭐ Recovery is simple.
⭐ Success rate is 80–85%, which is very, very good.

📞 If you think you’re a candidate for the balloons for urinary incontinence, please call us and come see us.

How to prevent infections?

This is another message for my colleagues in my series on infection prevention.
Today’s focus: the no-touch technique.

When performing implant surgery, everything must remain fully covered with a sterile drape. Most implant infections originate from the patient’s own skin, so exposure during the procedure is a risk we can easily avoid.

After draping, we put on a second pair of clean gloves and proceed with the surgery. When it’s time to handle the implant, we change the outer gloves again, ensuring the implant is only touched with fresh, clean gloves.

This simple sequence—full draping, double-gloving, and changing the outer glove before implant placement—helps bring infection risk as close to zero as possible.⚡

Waking up 2-3 times a night?

Is it normal to wake up 2–3 times a night to p*e?
🚫 Absolutely not.
As a urologist, I can tell you: waking up once can be okay — but more than that is a sign something’s off.

It may be related to:
🧠 Your bladder
🧔 Your prostate
💧 Your hydration levels

If this is happening to you, don’t ignore it.
👉 Make an appointment and get checked.
