Catholic Hospice is a community-based not-for-profit program serving the South Florida community since 1988. Catholic Hospice provides responsive end-of-life care for patients of all ages and faiths, and assists families in caring for a loved one with reverence and dignity at the most vulnerable time in life’s journey. Our patients, residents and those who use our services are our first responsibility. We provide our services with love, skill, compassion and respect for all human dignity - regardless of race, creed or religious affiliation.

Help us keep tails wagging and hearts full! 🐶✨

Our Comforting Pets Volunteers make it possible for hospice patients to continue enjoying the love of their beloved pets by helping with daily care — feeding, walking, and offering gentle support and presence.

We’re also looking for Certified Pet Therapy Volunteers to spread love, comfort, and wagging‑tail joy! 🐶💗 Your therapy animal can brighten a patient’s day, reduce anxiety, and bring pure happiness — especially in our In‑patient Care Centers. (IMPORTANT: Volunteers must be certified pet therapists to participate.)

If you’re passionate about animals and want to make a meaningful difference, this is the perfect way to give back. 💛🐾

Earlier this week at our Inpatient Care Center at Holy Cross Health, our team came together to honor one of our patients—a Navy veteran—with a heartfelt pinning ceremony surrounded by his loved ones. Through readings, poems, and prayers, we thanked him for his courage, service, and sacrifice.

We’re grateful to our incredible staff for creating such a meaningful and memorable moment.
