BIG little news from our office 💕

Our amazing medical assistant Bethany welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world and we are absolutely over the moon for her! Mom and baby are doing great and yes… baby girl already made her first visit to the office for a tiny adjustment with Dr. Alexa 😉

Fun fact: chiropractic care isn’t just for adults. From newborns to grandparents, care can be tailored to each stage of life and ALWAYS based on comfort level and individual needs.

Acupuncture for Labor Induction: What Moms Should Know 🤍

As your due date approaches, it’s common to look for natural ways to support your body as it prepares for labor. One option many moms ask about is acupuncture.

What is acupuncture? 🤔
Acupuncture is a gentle, evidence-informed therapy that uses very fine needles placed at specific points on the body. These points communicate with the nervous system and help the body regulate itself.

How can acupuncture support labor readiness?
Acupuncture may help by:
• Supporting hormonal balance (oxytocin & prostaglandins)
• Improving blood flow to the uterus and pelvis
• Encouraging relaxation of the nervous system
• Reducing tension in the low back, hips, and pelvis

When the body feels safe and relaxed, it’s often better able to transition into labor.

Does acupuncture “start” labor?
No- acupuncture does not force labor. Instead, it supports the body’s natural process when baby and body are already close to being ready.

When is labor induction acupuncture commonly used? 👶
• Late third trimester
• Near or past the due date
• Prior to a scheduled medical induction (to help prepare the body)
• When mom wants natural support alongside prenatal care
