I’m pleased to announce that restrictions have been lifted!

Although the threat of COVID-19 continues to be a clear and present danger, it is my decision to reopen on Monday, May 17th.

I will be utilizing these next few days to:
*Deep clean and sanitize my space before reopening.
*Reschedule all appointments that were forcibly cancelled due to the mandate.

Please understand that to comply with health & safety guidelines, I will be implementing new precautions until I see fit. These will be outlined in an email which will be sent to you upon scheduling. As things are ever changing, I encourage each of you to wait until you are individually comfortable with receiving treatment again. I ensure that I will be upholding an A+ standard of safety & sanitation, with a generous block between appointment times so as not to interfere with your full service time.

I appreciate everyone’s patience throughout these last two months, also for the uncertain road that lies ahead. If you have questions or concerns about what policies I will be implementing and how they will affect your massage, please feel free to call and I will be happy to discuss them with you. I look forward to returning on Monday! See you again soon!!!

Hello all, I hope you are staying healthy and well stretched!

Over the past week I have had many inquiries about when I will resume work / scheduling appointments. I am beyond greatful for you making me feel so valued & missed! At this time things are still uncertain as I await further instruction on mandated closures. There will be a press conference tomorrow morning, Wednesday May 13th, with new information.

I know many businesses are beginning to have restrictions lifted but currently massage therapy of any kind, due to the direct contact of the profession, is still prohibited. I am struggling with not being there for you all during this time, and disheartened at the progress some of you will lose since seeing me regularly. This is why I encourage you to continue with self care! You are capable of acheiving pain & stress relief on your own if you take the time to do so. Set aside an hour as you would for a massage to really stretch your whole body or try some simple meditation. I will be sharing a post with some of my favorite tools of the trade, that my family and I use at home for our own self care routines.

Again I appreciate all the texts, emails, and messages I have received, and when I feel it is right to do so I will begin contacting everyone to reschedule. Thank you so very much for the patience and support!

All my best, Amber Rickels

I miss you all!!! Since the mandate was pushed to May 1st, many of you have now had to forego your massage appointments. This means dealing with muscle pain & stress relief on your own. Whether you are working, not working, missing your loved ones, or simply trying to stay healthy, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed.

Taking small steps each day to care for yourself is an easy way to get back to “neutral”. Keep moving, keep stretching & drink your water! Your body will thank you. Check out my page for tips on self care throughout this tough time and please ask questions or make suggestions if there are things you would like to learn more about.

Working out at home can be challenging! My family has been doing well at getting outside for walks, but these cold gray days have not made it easy. Many places are turning to online streaming to be available for their community, so make sure you check with your gym to see if this option is available to you.

Heat yoga is streaming FREE live classes with their instructors, for the public to enjoy (link below). They have a donate option to give back if you enjoy the session or the option to purchase a GC for future visits. A client & friend of mine will be teaching Pilates today at noon. Her name is Jen 😊

This is a wonderful option to drop in on a class and get those muscles moving!

Live Stream and our YouTube channel will be free until we reopen our doors. We feel the support of our community and we wish to give our support back to you. If you wish to make a donation to help support the studio, you can register for the class you are live streaming to pay for a walk in or use y...

*CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE *

Due to a health & safety mandate by our Governor Kim Reynolds, massage therapists have been urged to cease practice until April 1st. As many of us have not yet witnessed a clear and present danger due to this disease, this is a very difficult action to take. I implore you to be understanding as these measures are being set not only to protect us, but the medical professionals and their families who will be most exposed.

I will be contacting those with appointments set during this time frame, and will notify you all when it is deemed appropriate by the state to reopen.

Also, I will be ramping up my posts over the upcoming days, so check back often for self care tips! Feel free to ask any questions regarding your overall health/wellness, I will be available by phone and email.

Lastly, if you’re feeling unwell please do everything within your power to stay away from others. These safety precautions only work if everyone chooses to be mindful. Stay home, stay hydrated, & stay healthy! 😊

Thank you all for your patience & support!!!

DES MOINES - Gov. Reynolds issued a State of Public Health Disaster Emergency activating the public health response and recovery aspects of the State Disaster Emergency Plan effective at noon today.

Good morning!

As the COVID-19 situation evolves, we want to assure you that our main priority is your overall health and safety!

We want you to feel comfortable coming to our office during this time. As a result, we have enhanced our cleaning procedures in the interest of everyone's health and safety.

We will proceed with normal, everyday handwashing and hand sanitizer use. We clean all equipment after each adjustment.
Cleaning has been expanded to disinfect doorknobs, waiting room chairs, and other surfaces such as the credit card processing machine, computers, phones, and front desk area daily. We also have hand sanitizer by the front desk for your use.

In addition, if you are scheduled for care and you are not feeling well, please stay home and call us to reschedule. We will do the same for you if we are not feeling well.

Thank you for trusting us during this time. We look forward to continuing to do what we do. As long as we are healthy and allowed to be open, we will have regular business hours.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Dr. Cian and Dr. Elizabeth

We needed an energy boost today in the office!

Diffusing citrus oil is a great way to energize a space. Each of these oils have uplifting qualities, as well as the benefit of cleansing and purifying.

2 drops each of bergamot (my favorite), green mandarin, & lime.
