Hard Rock Engraving

Hard Rock Engraving Monument, Stone, Brick & Concrete Engraving We engrave monuments, rocks, bricks, benches & concrete. Restoration of old monuments.

The majority of our work is final death dates or family inscriptions on monuments, along with stone or rocks for home or business identification addresses or just plain self expression. We also engrave memorial or fund raising bricks and even concrete patios or walk/driveways. Additionally, we mount brass plaques on monuments and recess them into rocks.

For the time being, due to the increases in cemetery work, and the backlog on current stone orders, Hard Rock Engraving is currently not taking orders for field (driveway) stone engraving.

Hard Rock Engraving recessed this photo into the stone, taking the extra steps to match the color of the epoxy with the color of the existing stone. It's little details like these that separate us from the others. The photo almost looks as if it was part of the stone from the beginning.

Dad always said "It's a damn poor carpenter who can't fix his own mistakes."
This applies to stone engravers too.
While it's not always best to point out your own mistakes, it happens. The name misspelling was our fault, so we rectified it. If we hadn't said anything, would you know this has been repaired?
Hard Rock Engraving may be the one to solve your stone repair issues, even when others can't.

"CIAO BABY" - Monuments are meant to tell a story.

Add a favorite saying. Tell the rest of us something about your loved one. How they lived and loved. What were their interests?
Add the children's and grandchildren's names.

Photos and pictures tell a story too.

Sometimes it's a military designation or a religious symbol. Occasionally, it's a combination of things that represents the interests of the person's life.

Often, we add a loved one's name to an existing stone. Here are three examples of different ways this can be accomplished, all with a mind towards the addition blending in with the existing engraving.

Want everyone to know something special about your loved ones? Let Hard Rock Engraving assist you.

Hard Rock Engraving had the pleasure of working with Cathy and UNI to create a permanent reminder of the generosity and commitment to nature that she exhibits. This stone will greet future visitors as they stop by to experience Iowa's true nature.

An interesting fact: Iowa's natural prairie grass was so tall that a man sitting on a horse could tie the ends together in front of him.
