The good news? They’re preventable.

We created a program just for female athletes to build stronger knees, improve landing mechanics, and boost performance — all while reducing injury risk.

💪 Designed for middle & high school athletes who jump, land, cut, etc.

⛑️ Injury prevention = long-term confidence & success

🎯 Performance-based training by a certified performance coach and a doctor of physical therapy, both trained in human movement and performance.

🚨 Meet Coach Lizzie! 🚨⁣

We’re excited to welcome Lizzie Muscarello to The Sports Doc team as our new performance coach!⁣ 💪🏻 She will be leading our injury prevention programs for youth and adult athletes to help stop injuries before they happen!!
⁣
She’s an NSCA-certified strength & conditioning specialist with her MS in Exercise Science from App State and a BS from Wingate. With over 10 years of gymnastics coaching, 4 years of research in motor control, and a deep background in biomechanics, injury prevention, and performance training — Lizzie brings the 🔥.⁣
⁣
She’s also the current clinic program manager at App State’s Interprofessional Clinic in Hickory.⁣
⁣
When she’s not in the gym, you’ll find her lifting weights, walking the greenway, or cooking up something delicious with her husband and two dogs. 🐶🍳⁣

Let’s give her a warm welcome! 👏

From “what is my body doing?” to “okay, we’re getting somewhere!”

Check out this before & after! In the first clip, you’ll see inefficient running mechanics—arms crossing midline, legs doing their own thing, and overall instability.

Fast forward to today: cleaner stride, improved arm drive, and more control Still a work in progress, but the difference speaks volumes.
⁣
Progress takes time, reps, and a whole lot of focus. Proud of the steps forward!
