OUR VISION: To inspire everyone we encounter to a thriving and purposeful life in Christ

Safe Harbor's Whole Woman Residential Program is a free year-long residential program for women in recovery that focuses on holistic healing in an intentional Christ-centered community aimed at long-term recovery through connection that empowers women to renew, rebuild and recover. Safe Harbor's Greenleaf Transitional Housing Program provides low-cost, furnished, clean and safe apartments in a community for women and children looking for structure and support while preparing for successful independent living as they are offered services and taught life skills. Safe Harbor's Day Center offers a safe place for women and children who are at risk for homelessness to access an array of services through a trained Services Navigator and provides meals, showers, laundry facilities and transportation. Safe Harbor's On Purpose Classes are designed to help women in our programs and our community discover their purpose in life, their identity in Christ, and experience freedom. At Safe Harbor of NC, we see firsthand how the lack of clean, well-fitting clothes and shoes creates challenges far beyond exposure to the elements. It affects self-esteem, confidence, and the ability to get ahead. People experiencing homelessness often must travel light, with limited opportunities to safely store or clean items they can’t carry.

On job interviews or other opportunities, being poorly dressed can make success nearly impossible. That’s why donating clean, usable clothing can make a real difference in someone’s life.

Before donating or starting a clothing drive, please contact Safe Harbor of NC to find out what items are most needed. Our Community Center has limited storage space and seasonal needs, so if we’re unable to accept a particular donation, our social enterprise, ReSource Warehouse, is always happy to receive it. Thank you for helping us make a difference in the lives of those we serve!

Dropping your items at Resource Warehouse and mentioning that it's for us allows us to receive credit.

We can then use that credit anytime we need something for a child in foster care or a foster family.

Safe Harbor is a Christ-centered community dedicated to rebuilding, renewing and recovery. Our vision is to inspire everyone we encounter to a thriving and purposeful life in Christ. Safe Harbor’s New Day Now provides safety, shelter and positive programming during the day for homeless women and children. Safe Harbor's residential program is a 1 year faith based program and provides women with the opportunity and resources to heal from past wounds and resulting coping behaviors with Life Restoration and transition to independent living as the end goal. Safe Harbor also offers groups and classes open to the public for recovery and emotional healing.
