Moments like these say it all. 💛

Captured by one of the women we have the privilege of serving, during the snowy weeks our community experienced, this simple moment of joy reminds us how meaningful new beginnings can be. Made possible by the generosity of our community, and a playset provided by SOMA Church, a mother and her children now have a place to play, laugh, and make memories as they begin a new life in Christ.

When Beth gathered her children and took the brave step away from an unhealthy marriage, she had no idea what tomorrow would hold. All she knew was that she couldn’t stay where she was. With nothing but courage and a trembling faith, she entrusted every uncertain step to God and began walking a path she could not yet see.

Along the way, God surrounded her with people who helped carry her forward—some familiar faces, many complete strangers—each one answering the call when they heard there was a need.

When Beth heard about the GreenLeaf transitional apartments at Safe Harbor, she applied, unsure of what waited on the other side. But the moment she turned into the parking lot and stepped through the door, something shifted. The heavy weight she had carried for so long began to loosen.

Her eyes landed on a framed message on the wall: It Is Well. In that moment, a deep, steady peace washed over her. From the soft pink comforter laid out on her daughter’s bed to the throw pillows arranged with care on the sofa, every detail felt intentional—prepared with love, provided with purpose.

Standing there, Beth knew she wasn’t there by accident. God had gone before her. And for the first time in a very long time, hope rose within her again.
