Special Olympics Catawba County Special Olympics in Catawba County Most local programs are organized by county.

Special Olympics North Carolina is organized at the grassroots level with nearly 100 accredited local programs serving almost every county in the state. Local programs are managed by local coordinators who oversee all aspects of the program ranging from athlete registration to fundraising to organizing local training and competition. To become an athlete, an individual must first complete an athlete participation form which entails a physical examination and submit this form to the local program where s/he lives.

Join us for an informational meeting about HCT’s premiere production with The Penguin Project! Finding Nemo Jr. is open to all students ages 8-22 with special needs. These young artists will be paired with a peer mentor, a student of about the same age who will support them throughout the rehearsal process and perform on stage with their partner! You only have to attend one meeting, but please RSVP.
