In March
• 214 Overdose Reversal (Narcan) Kits were distributed
• 15 Overdoses successfully reversed

Each kit represents the potential to save a life. When naloxone is available and people know how to use it, overdoses can be reversed and lives can be saved.

We encourage everyone to stay prepared and keep naloxone on hand. You never know when it could make the difference.

🐝 Be prepared. Carry Narcan.

In 2024, ALFA was selected to participate in a hepatitis C (HCV) relinkage-to-care initiative through a grant from the Center for Disease Analysis Foundation, focused on reconnecting individuals previously diagnosed with HCV to the care and treatment they need.

We’re proud to share that the work our team has done through this program will be featured as a poster presentation at the SYNC 2026 Conference on March 19–20. Our CEO, Liz Ramseur, will be attending and presenting this work on behalf of ALFA.

We’re grateful to the Center for Disease Analysis Foundation for supporting this important initiative and proud of our team for helping expand access to care in our community.

Last week, our CEO, Liz Ramseur, had the honor of speaking at the State of the South Road Tour, reflecting on the progress made through the Gilead COMPASS Initiative.

ALFA was proud to be selected as one of the Southern sites participating in this initiative. Through this partnership, we were able to open Steve’s Place in downtown Hickory, expanding access to HIV prevention, care, and supportive services for our community.

We are incredibly grateful to Emory University and the many partners who have helped lead and support this work across the South. The COMPASS Initiative has strengthened community-based organizations and helped move us closer to ending the HIV epidemic.

While we celebrate the impact made so far, we know the work is not finished. ALFA remains committed to continuing this work, expanding access to care, and ensuring our community has the resources and support it deserves.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey — and to those who will help carry the work forward.
