I was just speaking to a potential client about this today. I know I have shared this before, but protein is essential to build bone. It is the building block and needed for your whole body. Most women I know are not getting near enough protein.
Everyone thinks of calcium when it comes to strong bones — but calcium is just the mineral. Protein is the framework that holds it all together.
Without enough protein, your body can’t build or maintain the collagen structure that gives bones their strength and flexibility. In fact, it’s impossible to build truly strong bones without it.
Most people think they’re getting enough — but the FDA’s “Recommended Daily Allowance” is really just a minimum. Many health experts now suggest 0.8 to 1.0 grams of protein per pound of body weight per day for optimal strength, bone density, and longevity.
Because strong bones don’t exist without strong muscles — and muscle drives balance, stability, and resilience as we age.
