Are you an artist or a craftsperson? We are seeking vendors for our Annual Market On The Lawn fundraiser. Our spaces are covered and out of the weather thanks to Catawba Farms! We hope you will help get the word out and visit us on Saturday, April 25th from 9:00am until 2:00pm.

This week has LAYERS— we’ll be digging into our love of rocks and gems by having some ORY regulars show off their sparkly, fascinating collections at the start of the night!! This group is dripping with geology knowledge and pockets full of beautiful rocks. Afterwards, we’ll paint some creations inspired by the stones we’ve seen— Geode-style Paintings in multi-colors and some additives like salt and glitter for interesting interactions! Wanna see what we can make together?? No art skills or rock knowledge necessary, just an interest in being with a wondrous group of humans that love to talk about their favorite things. Join us this week, Wednesday evening 6-8pm. All LGBTQ+ and allied youth ages 12-21 are welcome.

Tiny homes will now have a formal definition in Burke County’s zoning ordinance that describes what constitutes a tiny house by state standards and the stipulations to live in one.

Join us on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM at Unifour Church, 2257 Old Conover-Startown Road, Newton, NC for a powerful afternoon of visibility, celebration, and community.

This year’s theme is bold, unapologetic, and deeply needed:

Existence is Resistance!

In a time when simply living authentically can feel like an act of courage, we are coming together to celebrate the strength, resilience, and beauty of our transgender community. Trans Pride is a space of joy. A space of safety. A space where being fully yourself is not only welcomed — it is honored.

This is a FREE to attend event, with free parking, and it is pet friendly. We will feature vendors, entertainment, food trucks, and community services — all centered around uplifting trans lives and strengthening our local LGBTQIA+ community.
