Kelly Wayne Davis, 57 of Higginsville, Missouri died on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at a friend's house in Clinton, Missouri. He was born Sunday, November 17, 1968 in Richmond, Missouri, and was the son of the late W. Wesley Davis and Sarah Meservey (Chadwick). He married Lorri (Coleman) Davis, but later they went their own ways in life.
Kelly grew up in Richmond, MO but lived most of his life off and on in Higginsville. He worked in construction and specialized in rain gutter installation. He was a "Jack of All Trades" and could fix anything. When it came to his work, Kelly was detail oriented and precise. He didn't cut corners and wanted it done correctly.
Kelly struggled with addiction but did have periods of sobriety in his life. It was difficult for his family to give up on him. He loved his family and wanted nothing but the best for them. They were always in his corner hoping he'd beat his demons of addiction.
Like most people struggling with addiction, Kelly burned many bridges with family and friends but he would always find a way to build 3 bridges to replace the one he burned. He had a big heart and was a lovable, charismatic guy despite his shortcomings. He could make friends with anyone and was a happy joyful soul. He loved to make people laugh. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and anything outdoors. He felt free in nature. His life may have ended too soon, but he now flies free from his chains.
