You’re allowed to let something end without deciding it means you failed. ✨

Not every ending is a loss.
Not every goodbye is rejection.
Not every chapter closing means you did it wrong.

Sometimes it’s just growth.
Sometimes it’s redirection.
Sometimes it’s peace arriving in a quieter form than you expected.

If you’re in an ending right now, we see you. 🤍
You don’t have to rush the next beginning.

Valentine’s Day can bring up a lot — pressure, comparison, expectation, performance.

Here’s your reminder from our s*x therapist, Brenda Cisco:

You are not broken.
You are not behind.
And you don’t owe anyone access to your body to be worthy of connection.
Desire thrives in safety. Intimacy grows in communication. And slow, curious, boundaried connection is still deeply intimate.

Whether you’re partnered, single, dating, healing, or somewhere in between — your pace is valid. ❤️

If this stirred something up for you, Brenda is here to help you explore it in a supportive, shame-free space.

Therapy will really have you say one insightful sentence
and immediately feel like you’ve ascended.

Five minutes of inner peace?
Standing ovation.

One boundary?
Absolutely unstoppable.

Trauma joke lands?
Career highlight.

Anyway, growth is exhausting, but we’ll take the small wins—
because self-awareness is a curse
and also kind of iconic.

As part of our ongoing commitment to honoring and uplifting the voices, leadership, and contributions of our Black clinicians—not just during Black History Month, but all year long—we’re continuing this series to recognize the impact our team has on our clients, our practice, and our broader communities.

Today, we’re proud to spotlight Charles, therapist and co-owner of Tides. ✨

Charles is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing telehealth services to clients across North Carolina and South Carolina. He earned his Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California and brings a deeply thoughtful, integrative, and strength-based approach to his work with individuals (ages 13+), couples, and families.

Charles works with clients navigating ADHD, persistent trauma, relationship challenges, and major life stressors, tailoring each session using evidence-based modalities including CBT, DBT, mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and PACT for couples. He also has specialized experience supporting individuals who are deconstructing religion or healing from religious trauma, and he is proudly LGBTQIA+ allied.

As both a clinician and leader, Charles is committed to creating inclusive, affirming spaces where clients feel respected, supported, and empowered to show up as their full selves. We’re grateful for the care, integrity, and vision he brings to Tides and the communities we serve.✊🏽

This Black History Month, we’re intentionally creating space to honor and uplift the voices, contributions, and excellence of our Black clinicians—not just this month, but all year long. This series is part of our ongoing commitment to recognizing the impact our Black and minority employees have on our clients, our communities, and the field of mental health.

Today, we’re proud to spotlight Shanice ✨

Shanice is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker serving clients in person in Goldsboro, NC, and via telehealth throughout North Carolina and South Carolina. She holds both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Fayetteville State University and brings a deeply compassionate, trauma-informed approach to her work with adults and teens navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, substance use, and major life transitions.

Shanice is known for creating a safe, collaborative space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered. She draws from evidence-based modalities including CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and trauma-focused care to help clients build resilience, increase self-awareness, and move toward meaningful change.

In addition to her clinical work, Shanice is a Qualified Clinical Supervisor and provides supervision for LCSW-A clinicians and Master’s-level interns—investing not only in her clients, but in the next generation of social workers.

We’re grateful for the care, leadership, and dedication Shanice brings to our team and the communities she serves. 🤍

Snow days hit different when you’re not used to getting them! ❄️😜🏂

Some of us built snow angels, some of us walked dogs in sweaters, and some of us absolutely did not leave the couch.

How have you been spending the snow days?! ☃️

Incoming call from: your healing era 📱😘

Therapy isn’t just for when everything is falling apart.
It’s for when you’re tired of carrying it all alone.
When your mind won’t slow down.
When you keep saying “I’m fine” but don’t really mean it.

You don’t have to have the perfect reason to start.
You just have to be human.

Answering this call could mean:
✨ Feeling less alone
✨ Understanding yourself better
✨ Learning how to cope instead of just survive
✨ Finally having space that’s just for you

No pressure. No judgment. Just support.
You can hit “accept” when you’re ready 🤍

Observing the thought.
Not obeying the thought.

Growth. 😘

Letting go isn’t giving up.
It’s trusting that what’s next needs room to arrive.

Growth asks for space. 🌊✨🤍

We’re accepting new clients for in-person and Telehealth therapy in NC, SC, and FL. 🌊
