✨ Volunteer Spotlight ✨

This month, we are proud to spotlight Mary Ann Cherry, one of our incredible volunteers at MedCenter High Point!

Since July 2024, Mary has volunteered weekly at our front desk, greeting patients and helping them find their way. After retiring in 2022, she chose to give back to her community and found a home here at MedCenter High Point. She often shares that it is truly a blessing to serve alongside the wonderful staff and families she has come to know.

Mary makes a meaningful difference for both our team and our patients. Her attentiveness, compassion, and warm presence help everyone feel comfortable and welcomed the moment they walk through our doors.

We’re collecting donations all month long to support the SPCA of the Triad and Red Dog Farm Animal Rescue Network with a donation this March 🐾

Tubs for donations are located in the main lobby at MedCenter High Point.

Most needed items right now include:

For Red Dog Farm
• Dry puppy food, small breed
• Kitten food, wet and dry
• Paper bedding for small animals
• Senior horse feed
• Chew toys for small animals such as bunnies and guinea pigs
• Oxbow rabbit food
• Oxbow guinea pig food
• Pine shavings for farm animals

For the SPCA of the Triad
• Canned puppy food and adult dog food
• Toilet paper
• Paper towels
• Hand soap
• Dish soap
• Bleach
• Large trash bags
• Sponges
• Scoopable cat litter
• Canned wet dog and puppy food

We took a moment to show our staff some love for Valentine’s Day. It was a small way to say thank you for the care, dedication, and heart they bring to work every day.

On February 13, MedCenter High Point shared a little extra love with our patients by giving out roses for Valentine’s Day 🌹

It was a simple gesture that brought smiles, conversation, and a reminder that care goes beyond appointments and visits. Moments like these reflect what matters most to us by showing compassion, connection, and kindness to the people we serve every day.

“I travel for work and found myself in need of an emergency room. I visited and was blown away. Best ER experience I’ve had. All staff, from the moment I entered and was greeted by the security guard until I picked up my script from the in-house pharmacy, were stellar. Great attitudes, friendly, attentive, and compassionate. I felt heard and was treated with top notch care. The facilities were clean, the staff was professional and considerate, going the extra step to ensure the bed was positioned comfortably, the lights were dimmed to my preference, and I was provided with warm blankets without having to ask. Getting my IV was quick and painless, and I usually hate needles. My CT was also quick and painless. My doctor was thorough in explaining my discharge instructions. The pharmacy was quick and pricing was good. Overall, a ten out of ten, I would highly recommend.”
