🌟 Program Spotlight: Children's Advocacy Centers 🌟

At Family Service of the Piedmont we are committed to building safe and healthy families. One of the most vital ways we address issues of child abuse is through our Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs) in Greensboro and High Point. These centers provide a safe, supportive environment for children who have experienced physical or sexual abuse to tell their story and get the resources they need.

Our team of highly trained professionals works tirelessly to investigate these sensitive cases, ensuring that every child receives the care and attention they deserve. Last fiscal year, our CACs served 472 families and conducted 387 forensic interviews - that's an average of about 8 cases per week. 💙

The impact of these services is immeasurable as we help children find healing, support, and justice. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families.

The High Point Enterprise published a story about the Guild's Holly Jolly Jubilee Luncheon.

The article includes a quote from Katie Rendeiro, our current President: “It is a joy to see so many familiar faces, longtime supporters, and new faces in this room. Today is what we like to call a ‘friend-raiser.’ It’s fundraising’s more relaxed, more charming cousin. It is a chance to come together to reconnect, to learn more about the life-saving work that is happening every single day with Family Service of the Piedmont. There’s something special about gathering like this, especially during a season that reminds us how much we need one another. Today this room is full of people who care, people who show up and people who believe in the power of community coming together to change lives. That is the heart of the High Point Guild.”

🍂✨ We’re gearing up to kick off the High Point Guild’s fall season—and we want to share some feel goods with you this Friday!

💥 Did you know? Last year, the Guild raised more than $235,000 to support families in crisis right here in our community! Every dollar helps provide vital services like shelter, counseling, and advocacy through Family Service of the Piedmont.

This incredible achievement wouldn’t have been possible without passionate volunteers, generous donors, and YOU—our amazing supporters. Together, we’re making a real difference, restoring hope and building brighter futures.

Here’s a shoutout to last year’s Guild president, Wendy, alongside Heather from Family Service of the Piedmont, whose leadership and dedication inspired us all.

Stay tuned for exciting events and opportunities this fall! Let’s keep the momentum going. 💙
