The Boat Race between the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge crews in England take place on the River Thames next month. It is an honor to think that the journey of the Oxford women's squad this past year brought them to High Point in October to race for the Lenny Peters Cup against HPU, Duke, and the University of Edinburgh.

This week the Dr. Lenny Peters Foundation presented Triad United coach Gene Kininmonth with a check for $165,000 to sponsor the Lenny Peters Cup and North Carolina Rowing Championships. The sponsorship will support Team USA racing a World Dream team of Olympic rowers at the event and bring in a TV crew to Livestream the regatta.

The Dr. Lenny Peters Foundation on Tuesday presented a check for $165,000 to Triad United rowing coach and race director, Gene Kininmonth, to sponsor the Lenny Peters Cup & North Carolina rowing Championships. The event takes place Saturday April 18 at Oak Hollow Festival Park and in 2025 generated over $2 million dollars in local economic impact for the Triad area.

The Lenny Peters Cup is a series of match races between Team USA and a World Dream Team of Olympic rowers. Over 1,000 rowers in total are expected to race in High Point.
