As Black History Month continues, we want to celebrate the achievements of High Point's own, John Coltrane! Coltrane was the son of a preacher and grandson of a minister. His family moved to High Point when he was just three months old, after his grandfather built them a house at 118 Underhill Street.

Although he died very young at the age of 40, the world famous and Grammy Award-winning jazz saxophonist released almost 50 studio albums and nearly 20 singles during his career. 🎷
