Providence Place

Providence Place is a faith-based, nonprofit retirement community in High Point, NC, that's been serving seniors since the early 1970s.

We offer independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory support. Providence Place has dedicated itself to senior healthcare and housing in High Point and the Triad. We have grown to include a large campus on Westchester Drive, home to our Independent Living (Westchester Village), Assisted Living (The Harbour) and Skilled Nursing (Westchester Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center) facilities, as well as the Providence Place Administrative offices. Our outreach stretches beyond High Point and into the community at large because ministering to the health and well-being of our elder population has no geographical bias.

Today, we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., along with his tireless work in promoting civil rights. King dedicated his life to speaking out against inequality, injustice, poverty, and war before being assassinated in 1968. This national holiday also seeks to draw attention to King's use of non-violence to bring about meaningful change and to his belief in the value of public service.

On this day of service, we extend heartfelt gratitude to Trinity Rehab, Westchester Harbour, Westchester Manor, EveryAge staff, and our entire community for their generosity and compassion.

What began as a simple idea from Trinity Rehab has grown into a meaningful Blessing Table for our residents. Now, staples like pasta, canned vegetables, snacks, and more are readily available to anyone who may be in need. Your kindness continues to make a difference—today and every day.

We are thrilled to welcome Kimikia “Kim” Simpson as our new Memory Care Director! Kim brings an extensive clinical background with a strong specialty in Alzheimer’s and dementia care, and we are so grateful to have her expertise guiding our community.

Kim is eager to build meaningful relationships with our residents, families, and team members, and she’s already bringing wonderful energy and compassion to The Harbour.

We truly believe we are blessed to have her on our incredible team! 💙⚓️

Residents at Providence Place enjoyed a toe-tapping morning filled with Throwback Tunes & Good Times as these fabulous ladies lit up the room with hits from the 50s, 60s, and 70s! 💃🕺

Their vibrant energy and nostalgic melodies always bring smiles, spark memories, and create unforgettable moments. We can’t wait to have them back! 💖

A couple of weeks ago, our residents enjoyed a festive Christmas concert featuring Shelley and Stan! 🎄✨

Shelley—one of our beloved family members—and her church friend Stan always create a heartwarming holiday program. Residents and staff love joining in the fun, singing along, and soaking in the beautiful music. Shelley’s stunning voice paired with Stan’s piano skills made the evening truly magical! 🎶
