Let's take a look behind the curtain and talk about some potential issues that can go wrong when getting into imaging equipment and how important the planning process really is.

Mistake #1 - overlooking power requirements. Power is the most important when it comes to imaging equipment. Without the adequate power, the equipment will not perform optimally. And without the equipment performing optimally, there is revenue being lost before anything can even get started.

Mistake #2 - ignoring the service question. Equipment like these scanners are going to break down at some point. It is a fact. Not being prepared for a repair and service event can be catastrophic. Not only is there more revenue being lost, there are exams being canceled which can lead to frustrated patients.

Mistake #3 - Underestimating the buildout. The suite where this equipment goes is a very important part of the project and so much detail goes into it. There are specific HVAC requirements and specific flooring requirements that if those are missed it can delay the installation timeline and again, leave revenue on the table.
