Aromatic Creations Recipe Calm Nerves Lotion
This recipe pairs beautifully with the research we explored earlier. Lavender's ability to calm the nervous system through multiple pathways, combined with Roman Chamomile's gentle sedative properties and Vetiver's grounding support, creates a blend that addresses stress on several levels at once.
You'll need:
5 drops Lavender Essential Oil (Lavandula angustifolia)
4 drops Roman Chamomile Essential Oil (Chamaemelum nobile)
2 drops Vetiver Essential Oil (Chrysopogon zizanioides)
1 oz Unscented Lotion
How to make it:
Spoon the unscented lotion into a clean 1-ounce glass jar.
Add each essential oil drop by drop, counting carefully.
Using a glass stir rod or stainless steel spoon, stir slowly and thoroughly until fully incorporated. Scrape the sides and bottom to ensure even distribution.
Cap tightly and label with the blend name and date.
Apply a small amount to clean skin and massage until absorbed.
Safety note: This blend is formulated at a 2% dilution. Safe for ages 5 and up. For children ages 5-10, reduce to 3 drops lavender, 2 drops Roman chamomile, and 1 drop vetiver. Avoid applying to broken or irritated skin.
