This is not something I would normally post but this is SO important to me and it needs said!

As a licensed, educated professional and a woman operating a legitimate business alone, my safety and professional boundaries are non-negotiable.
🛑 Boundary Violation Is Not A Joke 🛑
The culture we create matters. You (ALL of you!) have a direct role in fostering a respectful and safe community.
🛑Use proper terminology. I am not a Masseuse and I am not running a Massage Parlor. I am a LICENSED Massage Therapist running a Massage Therapy Clinic.
🛑Refrain from making "happy ending" jokes. These comments are never funny. They feed a toxic culture that disrespects and endangers women in service and wellness roles.
🛑Do not contact me with inappropriate comments about MY body or inquiries about "extra services." What honestly goes through y'all's minds? Nevermind. I know.
🛑Do not call me late at night from the bar. While I am aware I'm surrounded by bars, these drunk calls are disrespectful, unwanted, and make me feel unsafe.

Your language and actions matter. Show Respect. Teach Respect.

ALSO! Do not book an appointment with me if you know you are not coming to the appointment. There IS a cancellation/no show fee that you WILL be charged. I require 24hr notice for ALL appointment cancellations.

Here’s the quick breakdown of how massage helps the lymphatic system work better on this Fun Fact Friday👇🏼

What the lymphatic system does → It’s like your body’s “drainage system.” Instead of moving blood, it moves lymph fluid, which carries away waste, toxins, and even viruses or bacteria. It’s a huge part of your immune system.

The problem → Unlike blood, lymph doesn’t have a pump (like the heart). It relies on muscle movement, breathing, and pressure changes in your body to keep it flowing.

How massage helps → The gentle, rhythmic pressure of massage manually moves lymph fluid along its pathways, especially in areas where it tends to stagnate (like the arms, legs, or neck).

The benefit → With lymph moving better, your body can clear out waste faster, reduce swelling, and circulate immune cells more efficiently. This boosts your defenses and can help you feel less sluggish.

This iss why people sometimes say they feel lighter, less puffy, or even notice fewer colds when they get regular massage, it’s their lymphatic system getting a little extra help.

Friday fact for you!

When you get a massage, the pressure and movement of the therapist’s hands physically push blood through your muscles and tissues. That has a couple of effects:
Better blood flow → The gentle squeezing and releasing of tissue acts a lot like exercise does for your circulatory system—it helps move blood more efficiently through veins and capillaries.

More oxygen & nutrients → Fresh, oxygen-rich blood is delivered to muscle cells. This gives your muscles the fuel they need to repair, rebuild, and recover faster after stress, workouts, or injury.

Waste removal → At the same time, massage helps flush out metabolic waste (like lactic acid) that can build up in tight, sore muscles.

That’s why people often feel looser, less sore, and more energized after a massage! It’s not just relaxation, it’s literally better circulation feeding their muscles.

Fun fact for you this Friday!

When you get a massage, a few things happen in your body:
Nervous system shift → Massage activates the parasympathetic nervous system (the “rest and digest” mode), which tells your body it’s safe and can calm down. This slows your heart rate, lowers blood pressure, and signals your body to stop pumping out so much cortisol (the stress hormone).

Hormone balance → With cortisol reduced, your body naturally shifts toward producing more serotonin and dopamine. These neurotransmitters are tied to feelings of happiness, relaxation, and even pain relief.

Touch response → The human body responds strongly to caring, therapeutic touch. Studies show that safe touch increases oxytocin (sometimes called the “bonding” or “feel-good” hormone), which works together with serotonin and dopamine to leave you calmer and happier after a session.

That’s why one single massage can leave you feeling like a weight has lifted, not just in your muscles, but in your mood too.
