Tasks may include crafts, games, religious services, small and large group activities, one on one visits, and unit organization. Thanks so much to everyone who came out for our summer parade last week! We had a blast seeing so many families and friends. Social distancing is no fun, but thanks to all of your support we got to see lots of smiles from our residents. Thank you, thank you!!

And, a special thank you to officer Tim Broughton of the Highlands Police Department and to the Highlands Fire Department. You made our day!

Good morning to our family and friends!
Unfortunately, we have made the decision to postpone tomorrow's parade due to the weather forecast showing rain and cooler temperatures in the afternoon.
The parade will tentatively take place NEXT Friday, June 26th at 2pm. Please help us spread the word by sharing this post!
We look forward to seeing everyone June 26th!

Get excited family and friends...
Next Friday, June 19th we will be having another drive-by parade! The residents will be lined up outside ready to cheer and wave you on.
The parade will begin at 2pm, so plan to be here a little before that to get lined up but please try not to arrive before 1:30pm.
You will receive further instructions from an ELC team member when you arrive.
Please spread the word so we can make it another great turn out!!!

We have a VERY special birthday today. Our resident and dear friend Lola is celebrating her 102nd birthday!!! We had an awesome party with Lola's family and the Mayor of Highlands Pat Taylor in attendance. May 22nd has been declared her day!
Happy birthday Lola, we love you!

Yesterday was wonderful, magical, and one of the most special days we've EVER had at ELC. It was a day full of laughter, tears, fun, and joy (not to mention some of the best weather we've had in weeks!).
For anyone that doesn't know, we had a drive-by parade of family and friends for our residents. This was the first time in many, many weeks that the residents were able to see their loved ones and hear their voices in person.
Earlier this week, we were expecting somewhere around 8-10 cars to drive through, which we thought was a great turn out. Well... there ended up being over 40 cars and 70 people in the parade!!! WOW!
Thank you all to our family and friends (and even strangers!) who showed up for our residents!
Thank you to our incredible staff who helped plan and execute the entire thing, we have the best staff ever!
If you missed this one, you'll be glad to know another parade is already in the works. We will be sure to let you all know when it will be.
