We create, conduct, and support activities that encourage and enable women to explore their religious and spiritual origins, experiences and beliefs. Such activities shall be designed to promote spiritual development and growth by: fostering communication, connectedness and support; pursuing, nurturing and affirming creativity and diversity; promoting awareness of the challenges women face; developing ways to meet challenges and overcome obstacles to spiritual and religious growth; encouraging leadership skills through participation in planning the organization‘s development, growth and activities; and developing the use of consensus decision making. We host monthly book clubs meetings, social hour, rituals. These events are posted in our events are you are welcome to attend. We also two live events during the year and love hosting newcomers. Please let us know if you need any assistance registering for any of these events. These biannual events in the Spring and Fall offer the experience of an all-woman retreat where women can strengthen their talents and renew their energy in a supportive and safe environment. Our events consist of two parts (Institute and Gathering). All Institute and Gathering activities are optional; during these events we encourage you to make choices that best meet your needs. UUWomenspirit expects and encourages all women to honor the safety, integrity, and confidentiality of those attending its sponsored events.

There is a quiet courage in holding still.

In feeling the ground beneath us.

In noticing the season we are actually in -- not the one we wish we were in, not the one we are bracing for (or against).

“Be Where Our Feet Are” is the theme for our spring event. If we sit with it for a moment, we might see the invitation that lies within the beautiful simplicity of these words.

What might shift if we trusted that this moment -- this age, this body, this friendship, this uncertainty -- is worthy of our full attention?

We don’t have to leap ahead to the next milestone. We don’t have to rehearse what’s coming (even if tempted!)

We can stand here, together.

And see what grows from the ground we are already on.

If this theme speaks to you, we would love to have you join us this spring. Click here to learn more -- registration is open: https://www.uuwomenspirit.org/

Registration is officially open for our Spring 2026 retreat, Be Where Your Feet Are.

If you’re feeling the world’s chaos right now, this might be a good moment to take a breath and consider joining us in April. The theme this year is simple on the surface but goes surprisingly deep:

**What becomes possible when we fully arrive in the moment we’re living?**

Our retreat offers weekday tracks, weekend workshops, shared ritual, quiet reflection, and the kind of laughter and sisterhood that can sustain you long after you head back down The Mountain. Not kidding about the laughter!

Learn more and register:
https://www.uuwomenspirit.org/

We’re also hosting a Zoom Event Preview this Friday, February 13, offering a chance to meet the facilitators, hear about the tracks and workshops, ask questions, or just hang out with us for a bit. https://us06web.zoom.us/j/83392992677?pwd=UeHOYxIl4tobb3tWWx1ZmQNdoJHjFR.1

And a note from the Planning Committee, because their words really capture the heart of this gathering:

The Mountain is such a magical place! We’ll connect with the fires that forged these mountains, the gems underground, the stone of the boulders, and the winds that shaped this unique ecosystem. We’ll appreciate the unique dwarf white oaks, the ancient mosses, the waters of local ponds, creeks, rivers, and waterfalls, and the wildlife that calls The Mountain its home. We open our hearts to receive love and support from The Mountain, Mother Earth, the Natural World, and one another.

We hope you’ll join us this spring. It feels like a good time to make space for grounding and community.

Two days until February 11, when registration opens for our Spring 2026 retreat, Be Where Your Feet Are.

In times like these, when the world and all of us feel stretched thin, with so much uncertainty... it matters that we create spaces where women can gather, breathe, reconnect, and remember what steadies us. Our spring theme invites just that: presence, rootedness, and the quiet wisdom that rises when we stop running ahead of our own feet.

We’ll also be hosting a Zoom Event Preview on Friday, February 13 — a chance to meet the Program Coordinators, hear more about the tracks and workshops, and get a feel for the energy of the event before registration begins.

Blessed Imbolc.

In a world that often feels cold or uncertain, Brigid’s flame is not just a decoration, but a necessity. Today, we tend the small sparks that remain.

May we find the quiet strength to keep our inner fires lit, even when the wind is high and the nights are long. Here is to the slow, steady return of hope.

Blessed Yule.

Tonight we honor the longest night and the slow returning of the light.

May your hearth be warm, your spirit nourished, and your hope rekindled.

New Moon Blessings!

As the year tilts toward completion, this moon invites deep rest, quiet intention, and gentle renewal.

What new beginning might flicker to life inside you as the light slowly returns?

Fire & Feather, Stone & Bone — Thank You!!!!!

Our Fall 2025 gathering has come to a close, and we want to extend deep gratitude to all who made it possible.

From sacred chants and mountain air to cookies, cave walks, and quiet moments in the woods, this gathering was filled with depth, joy, and connection.

A Glimpse Inside the Cave...

Though registration is now closed for our Fall 2025 event, we thought we’d share a little magic with you (whether you’re attending or just holding us in spirit).

One of the chants we’ll be singing in Sacred Circle is this beautiful piece from artist Lindy Lila:

**Cauldron of changes, feather on the bone
Arc of eternity, ring around the stone**

Let it echo in your bones if you’re joining us.
Let it nourish your spirit if you’re not.

Registration for the Fall 2025 Womenspirit Gathering closes tonight (September 10).

There’s still time to say yes to the quiet of the mountains, the laughter of friends old and new, the trail beneath your feet, the song in your bones.

We know this season has held a lot. For many of us, grief has been walking beside us -- within our community and beyond. If you’ve been holding off, unsure, waiting for the right moment… maybe this is it.

Maybe this is your invitation to step into a space where your whole self is welcome.

Whether you’re drawn to the forest, the fire circle, the loom, or the sanctuary of stillness—there’s a place for you here.
