As we move through these last few days before registration closes, we’ve been sitting with this year’s theme:

“Be Where Our Feet Are.”

As a word person, I love the elegance of this phrase, the simplicity, and… well, we all know what gets in the way! So much pulls us toward what’s next, what’s wrong, what we need to improve, what’s still ahead.

This gathering is an invitation to pause and arrive in our moment – the one we are actually living. And to do that in community – all of our moments together may just make for something pretty impactful!

There is a quiet courage in holding still.

In feeling the ground beneath us.

In noticing the season we are actually in -- not the one we wish we were in, not the one we are bracing for (or against).

“Be Where Our Feet Are” is the theme for our spring event. If we sit with it for a moment, we might see the invitation that lies within the beautiful simplicity of these words.

What might shift if we trusted that this moment -- this age, this body, this friendship, this uncertainty -- is worthy of our full attention?

We don’t have to leap ahead to the next milestone. We don’t have to rehearse what’s coming (even if tempted!)

We can stand here, together.

And see what grows from the ground we are already on.
